-
Couldn't agree more! And the P61! :)
-
ok rip,
give us p61 and more japanese army planes please! :)
-
Despite my preference for US aircraft, I have to agree with Mitsu at this point. The US set is not too far from being complete while the Japanese aircraft are far too few. I don't know why most Americans only know or care about the Zero and Bf109 for axis aircraft, but the Japanese aircraft were nearly as diverse as American aircraft. It would be nice to see them modeled in the game to the same extent as American and Luftwaffe aircraft both in quality and quantity with all the appropriate variations.
Maybe a minimum of at least one or two Japanese planes per release until they catch up?
The Russian and especially the Italian planesets are limited too, but I think the Betty, Frank, Oscar, Tojo, and Jack are far more historically significant and useful to so many scenarios and even in the MA. Of course, I still want to see MiGs and Fiats :)
-
here here to all the above, and the Ki 102 & 45
-
show me the shoki!
-
I support Mitsu's request. :)

-

2. Ki-100.
3. Ki-44.
4. Ki-43.
5. Ki-45.
6. Ki-102.
:/
-
Why not a JM2 ? bring it!
-
because it's IJNAF!
but YES! bring J2M3 Raiden to Aces High too! :/
-
Ki-84 most definately!
The most wanted plane right as of this minute probably!
-
Ki-44, cause i dont want a 2nd N1k2
-
A Ki.84 would really reduce the number of Spits/N1Ks/La-7s in the MA, by providing pilots another competitive choice to fly- but also by shooting down so many of them.
It would really help out the late war PTO settings in the CT, too.
-
A spit LF mk XVI/IX with the ki84 to keep the amount of spits in MA to normal levels.:D
-
Ki-84, that would be nice
-
I dont want to see that kamikaze paint scheme in ah. :/
-
I vote for the Ki-84, too, but with this scheme, because people would confuse it with the P51D and shoot at the wrong end :)
-
Ki-84 For Mitsu is a must!!!!
-
How many ki84s did the ija build? 3 or 4 ;) ? What we need is the ki-43 a bad plane no doubt, but a plane they flew throughout the war, like the zero. Then the kate, and betty. Probably the betty first. Those late model ija or ijn planes really dont do it for me in a historical context since most of em were grounded. Even the ki 61 was a POS coming out of the factory. The japanese just could get the 'toyota' quality in those years, or the numbers. There was a reason they had the zero up till the end of the war, and its not because it was competitive with the f4u-1d, or the p38.
Now, I am all for building these planes, but I think they should do it in order of the planes magnitude in the war. I would be happy if they just released japanese planes for the next several patches, just not the most uber ones only for ma spit/la7 matches.....
---The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (Peregrine Falcon) was numerically the most important fighter used by the Japanese Army Air Force during the Pacific War. It remained in production from the beginning of the Pacific War until its end in August of 1945. In many ways, it was a transitional type, bridging the gap between the lightly-loaded fighter monoplanes of the late 1930s with their fixed undercarriages and open cockpits and the higher-powered heavy fighters of the early 1940s with their retractable undercarriages and enclosed cockpits. Its appearance was a complete surprise to the Allies, and the fighter proved to be superior in performance to most of its opponents during the first year of the Pacific War. Most of the Japanese Army's aces established the larger part of their scores while flying this airplane. The Ki-43 is often confused with its contemporary, the famed Mitsubishi A6M Reisen (Zero Fighter) of the Japanese Navy, and was often misidentified as a "Zero" early in the war.----
ooop 3514, including prototypes and service trials aircraft.
I guess they built more than 4.
-
We need the KI-84... but also we need the P-47M :D
-
"How many ki84s did the ija build? 3 or 4 "
Actually they built thousands of Ki-84's and it was their most important Army fighter for the last year of the war. They first served in China in the late summer 1944 and proved to be able to fight the Allied aircraft on pretty much equal terms.
In terms of performance it is quite unlike the N1K2 although some people mistakenly expect it to be the same because it looks similar on paper. It doesn't climb or dive so well as the N1K and by operational reports is slightly less maneuverable. It also lacks the N1K2's cannons and ammo load (only 120 rounds for its 2 cannon). However, the Ki-84 is substantially faster than the N1K or any other Japanese fighter for that matter, an asset which the Japanese planeset badly requires. At low levels, think of it as a faster but worse-climbing Spit 9. It's quite a good fit for the MA.

Ki 84
Ki 100
Most definately
-
3514 Ki-84s were produced.
5919 Ki-43s were produced.
-
Mitsu I agree with you 100%. I don't like the Kamikaze skin either. Unfortunately that is what WBIII has. :( It probably didn't even have cannons.
It would be nice to see the Ki-43 and Ki-84 in AH. I might try online again. :) (Stranger things have happened.)
Here are some Ki-84 skins, one for IJ and one for USAAF!

There was a bomber intercept version with 30mm cannons I believe JAB. Ki-84c I think.Don't quote me, we had one in Fighter Ace :D
http://www.angelfire.com/fm/compass/Hayate.htm
2-30mm and 2-20mm cannons Ki-84-Ic
And they better perk it!!!!
-
Aparently the Ki 84 with the 30mm Cannons as listed in Bunschnells(if thats how ya spell it) was not actualy made in any signastudmuffinant numbers if at all, so it is prety much not even an option, kinda like the MK 103 on the FW 190.
The Frank and the George did I am prety shure have the same engine, the Army and Navy designation was different but it was the same engine.
-
Nice pics Kekule. :/
-
Yeah, really beautiful pics, Kek!
I do hope the Japanese have something to look forward to in v1.11, and I'm not talking about the B5N. :(
-
yup all those would be kool to have
-
Thanks oboe. Of course you'll never see either of those skins in any game, just on my hard drive. :)
For the PTO fans, I hope AH does get a few more IJ fighters. The PTO is the neglected step child of WWII, in all online games not just WB and AH.

Hey, Kek's here! AH basher! Making your transition slowly over here? ;)
-
AH basher? Definitely in the past, but hard to do these days when AH is a superior product compared to WBIII. And the owner/developer of the game is still working on AH, not putting it off "till next year"
It'd be even better with a Ki-43 and Ki-84.
Doubt you'll ever get the chance to shoot me down, even though I do suck. :) Unless it is in T:R.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to flame wildbill some more on AGW. *cackle*
