is apparently no more in Warbirds.
"32 plane limit, some 7 years of it, is FINALLY broken..." - Hotseat.
If true, it's notable.

heh :)
Nah, they did a 64 plane test... I'm not sure if 64's a new limit or even if there is a limit.
Keep in mind... I ain't quite convinced if this is true. But if so, it's a positive development. We could use that here in Aces High on occasion... Whether or not Warbirds even needs to up the plane limit anymore is another story. :)

what are/is "warbirds"?
-
its just like aces high, but with better graphics/damage modeling and crapper flight model.
and a more restrictive view system.
its what Hitech worked on first I think..
-
hey ,i did 100+ mph once , well ok , more that once , ok thats where the needle was pointing anyway
-
they dont have better damage model they just reduce gun lethality to 80% and adjust there bombers to be tougher then the rest.
AH has more "parts" that can get shot off but for the most part they are the same.
-
So they can get all 50 prime time US time zone players on and in the same area at once. :D
Wow that is amazing. :p

"With AH having surpassed that years ago..." - Oedipus
Well, AH doesn't have a 32 plane limit per say... in that if more than 32 planes are in the vicinity people don't start exploding or anything. But as soon as you get more than 32 in an area, the updates from the server start to get pretty sketchy. Planes streaking around the sky etc. All the scenarios and TODs are designed with that limitation in mind.
Hotseat and crew are claiming that there's no odd behaviour with 64.
The reason I think that's important is because perhaps there's a way that limit can be beaten. Maybe Hotseat really did pull one out of the hat over there. Stranger things have happened. Or it could be BS.
But that 32 plane limit has been an issue for years... Or perhaps a thorn in the side is a better way of putting it. With 400 people in our next scenario (and growing) it's of particular interest to me. And if Hotseat really did pull that off, well kudos to him.
