Found these pics at a site all 'bout the Mustang + thought some of ya might wanna see actual cockpit instumentation. Too bad the cockpits in AH can't be as detailed...

Interesting to see the Mustang also has the "yello box" which groups the most important gauges in a single area. I thought that "yellow box" was typical only to RAF planes...

That is a cockpit of the P-51 B/C . Not the P-51D. Exactily this plane was powered by the Merlin Engine, opposite to previous ponies where they powered by Alison engine. This is ther reason of the wooden floor. Well, I didnt know that the yellow box belonged to Britt planes..the reason of the yellow box here could be that, as you know, Brittain made to US a order of production of P-51 B/C....and they received the name of MUSTANG III. So that pic could belong to a british P-51.

Too bad thats not an authentic Instrument Board with all authentic intruements. Goes to show you that anything shiny makes people happy. Or with fresh wrinkle coat....
