Hiya guys - been out of the flight sim loop for a couple years now - just stumbled upon this Aces High thing and WOW is it impressive.  Downloading it now - couple of questions...

1. Am I going to have any trouble running it (smoothly) on a PII 400 MMX with a 12MB VooDoo2 and 64 megs of RAM?
2. How many old AW guys are here? (By "old" I mean back when AOL offered AW for free.)  :P

Hope to see y'all up there, cant wait until this damned DL is finished.  ;-)

That system is pretty low end.  It should run the game, but it won't be as stellar as other systems.  I used to run a 450 with everything else similar.

BTW... 128meg of RAM is $20 ;)

I'd suggest upping RAM another stick.

We have a voodoo2 SLI setup here (12megs) at work on a celery 433mhz and we can run decent fps using 16bit and 800x600.

beware of a smokey field however.

Airwarrior  MAZZ ?   As in the RR arena's ,  one of the few true 109 drivers?  sometimes hung out with a group called the Misfits?  Liked Shooting Down DrDea cause he was the only other True 109 pilot back in those days?

Is that you MAZZ?

How ya doing Doctor, thats me.  Good to see an old face, and such a good pilot.  ;-)  Although much more of a FR 109 driver myself - the true advantages of the aircraft really come out.  I should be up and flying this evening - trying to figure this whole Roger Wilco thing out (That and how to get into the damned plane... lot more complicated than AW.) :P  Ill be looking for a squad eventually Doc, lemme know what ya got.  Any other old Misfits in here?  Fang?  =)

 I'm not Doc.  Doc flys in my Sqaudron here in AH.   This is FANG.  I go by the Call Sign  Vati66 now.

I run a Celery 400 w/ Riva TNT Graphics Blaster and 64MB ram..(haha, yes its laughable) It gets the job done.  I get FPS anywhere from 20-40 depending on the situation.  Have fun and i'll see you up there.  BTW!  Join Knights!  OUR sheep are well groomed and fed..
