Were over 400 people online - you missed a big war.

The pizza map was made for huge numbers...seems it fits in good Turbot! ;) Otherwise we'd have to listen to posts about being gang banged, blah blah blah.

you'd have figured by now we'd all realize some people hate it and others love it.

Guess we just can't leave this horse alone.

I'm glad Pizza was up last night!  Makes me feel better about not being able to play!

3-2 against it so far!  :p

Yep it sucks....

Flew one, watched the World Series..

But when the crack pipe calls can't be ignored, I can't fly more than a couple anyway..

I fly in a darkened room and about twenty minutes is about all my eyes can take..

This terrain pattern is the worst of the lot. It's very hard on the eyes..

Trying to see the "plane" in a fight with this color pattern just blows my eyes out..

Truth.

What about poll system like Counter Strike?

If MA doesn't have have numbers, you can vote a Pizza map.

LOL Lazs!  Your posts crack me up. :D

Poop - you're pulling a lot of G in that screenshot. I try not to exceed 2G on a zoom. Bleeds a lot of E, or at least it should...

still have to give the AK's credit for hard work.
I am learning how much work it really is!

can't help it if I don't like it though....

Agree poopster, looking to that "vomit" too much time hurts the visuals a lot.

Offline trying to frame the con with as much terrain as I could. Rarely film or take screenys, just pretty much shoot stuff...

And drink beer...

I like variety in AH.  I love that the Pizza Map has a different feel and game-play is different in it.

Play and enjoy each map for its positive aspects, and you will find much joy and variety as you war-game.

I have yet to say I don't like a map in any simm going way back to old dos AW days. Until now ... it does make it easy to take a brake from WB's. Like now pizza map is up, flew a few flights, off line. Would not bother me if they pulled this one out of rotation.

I am getting used to the size of the map. It actually is cool in that regards, although there can be long periods of flight that get tedious. Overall it's right for the rotation for sure.

It's downfall is it looks like toejam. Or barf. Whatever, neither gives me flashes of History Channel WWII fighter pilot immersion.

Desert map is my favorite map. I see 400 plus playing it today, maybe minority are the whiners?

Ohh well, whine away.

I've seen 10,000 people use the bathroom in Taladega Motor Speedway Nuke, can't say they prefered it to a Casino restroom with oak stalls, piped in overhead Sinatra tunes,  and a guy in a tux that has gum, cologne, and usually a good joke or compliment. It was the only game in town.

Anyone that can enjoy that map for long periods is the 'minority AH spirit crowd' maybe?

Sotie before looking at this BB on desert map was in F4u1-D - exploded 262, murdered a la7, sent another 262 packing with 1 engine.  ( I waited a while on runway for second 262 kill credit but then got to feeling that was too gamey)

Yeah this map boring... right.  As far as I can tell its all the same sky, same planes - who gives a crap what ground looks like?

I agree on the gameplay, like I said, the map is cool after you adjust.

But why you wouldn't care that the terrain is like fighting on a comic book planet sized Ben Grim's bellybutton is beyond me.

I finally found something I enjoy doing on the Pizza...  grab an M16 and try to fend off one of the milkruns.  Get a few squaddies to do it with you and it's rather fun.  for awhile anyways.

we had one decent AtA fight going last night.  Then the Bishops we were fighting brought some friends and we were overwhelmed.  Vulching ensued, and after about 2 or 3 failed chances to get up, we gave up on it.  Looked at the map, and I kid you not, all I saw were milkruns.  I saw not one sector where the dar bars were even close to being equal.  Maybe it was just that time of night (getting late and peeps starting to log off) but sheesh, it really feels that way every time I play on that map.

As Nifty said, I think Ground Vehicle Action is a lot more important on Pizza Map.

I like taking Panzers up or manning Ack Guns at GV bases. Its something to do instead of the usual routine on Pizza Map.

Finding a fight IS a challenge. You'll see a base being attacked, go there, the badguys just attack a different base where there is no opposition. The war does tend to get in the way in pizza..

Fortunately the War guys enjoy the map to the point that they take bases with gusto shortening it's length of stay. They enjoy it, they win the war and it gets rotated. :D

If they DIDN'T enjoy it. It would never get rotated

So..thank the war guys.

For without them, it would never leave..
