THE 325TH FIGHTER GROUP "THE CHECKERTAIL CLAN" IS NOW RECRUITING
Tired of the same old mindless "furballing"? Ready for someting different? Want to fly as part of a TEAM? Then the "Checkertails" might be for you. We are looking for a few dedicated sim pilots that really like to fly, have an intrest in WW2 Avaition and are interested in flying each sortie as "realisticly" as possible. We are looking for people who would like to actively participate in running the squad whether it be taking leadership positions or with technical or operational support. We are also looking for people who just want to fly and have a good time weather you are an "Ace" or a "Newby".
The 325th FG will operate using the MISSION PLANNER for every mission that is practical. Our principal mounts will be a mix of P-47 THUNDERBOLTS & P-51 MUSTANGS with an emphasis on ground attack & escort missions. The P-40 WARHAWK will be flown in early war scenarios when our late war rides are not available. We will also operate useing original WW2 USAAF tactics, formations & radio procedures so that you will get as close to that "feeling" of actually flying the missions as you can get.
"The Checkertails" will fly Tuesday & Thursday at 10:00pm EST in the CT Arena (Depending on terrain). We will also fly in the Special Event Scenarios AH has from time to time if there is enough interest among the squad's pilots.
We also hold an informal Practice Scession every Sunday night at 9:00 pm EST in the TA or DA.
The 325th's goals are to become no less than the #1 squad in Aces High. At the same time we are out to have fun with our hobby - that is the MAIN goal.
What's in it for me you ask?
1. As this is a newly forming squad, Leadership positions are open and you can get in at the ground level.
2. Training will always be available for any "Newbys" who would like to join. No experience necessary. Just bring a willingness to learn and work within the team.
3. You will be able to input your ideas for operations and missions to be flown by the squad.
4. You will always have someone there to help watch your 6 and to clear you if you get into trouble.
5. Your own personalized A/C on the squad webpage with your nose art.
6. There is a dedicatated Command Structure in place for the squad. Rank, leadership positions and awards have to be EARNED. They are not just freely given out.
7. Your kill streaks and awards displayed on the squadron kill board for all to see.
8. Access to the Squad Forum on the AH BBS where information on all subjects are exchanged.
9. Lastly flying with a squad will increase your flying experence by 100%.
If this sounds good to you and you would like to find out more, check out the website listed below my signature.
If you are ready to be part of the "CHECKERTAIL CLAN" report to me at the 325th FG's HQ, 15thAF, Foggia, Italy.
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HUNTING! !
Major Jester
XO, 325th FG "THE CHECKERTAIL CLAN"

This is definitely going to be a top-notch squad. It would be a great place to start for somebody looking to join a squad for the first time- both Lowejg and Jester are experienced leaders and skilled tacticians, and beyond that they're two of the nicest guys you'd ever want to fly with.
Best wishes on your new squad from the 27th Sentai!

This will definatly be a top notch squad, if you like to fly with some realistic minded sim pilots this is the squad for you. As CO of VF27 Hellcats, that Jester and Lowe started by the way, all i can say is good luck and to any allied sticks that are thinking about joining to go for it, you will not be dissappointed!

SHARP
to both Oboe and Hijacker! Tks Guys - means alot coming from you both.
On the other hand if US Navy or Japanese is your thing - these are the two guys to look up. You won't regret it.

I'm not looking to join your squad, but I wanted to let you know that I have been to a 325th FG reunion before. It was a few years ago and I got to meet a lot of the pilots and ground crew, Herkey Green being the most notable of the bunch. He was the second highest scoring ace in the Med with 18 kills. It was a memorable event.

This is an awesome squad. Not just a bunch of furballers with a cool name, like some squads. If you are considering a squad, I highly recommend the 325th CheckerTails!!

Hey Bear! I'm in your neck of the woods. I work at the Museum of Flight in Seattle and live in Tacoma. How are things up on the island?

Sorry I am late posting here but isn't the Operations Officer (S-3) always late?
I have been flying with Lt. Col. Lowejg and his squads off and on for five years. Lowe's Warbirds Squad, the 350th FG was the first squad I ever joined. WBs was my first (and last) flight sim and I had only been flying there for a few days. The day he recruited me was my first night in the "Historic Arena" and coincidentally I was flying the P-40E and credited my first kill (Bf-109)!! I later commanded the 350th as Lowe went on to form a much needed German Squad. I later resigned from the 350th and defected to the Japanese Navy were I grew to love the A6M3 "Hamp". Eventually I joined the 27th Sentai of Warbirds. I gave up flight sims for a few months and then tried Aces High. I soon joined the 27th Sentai (sister squad of the Warbirds squad).
Flying with the 325th during ETO settings and the Japanese Fighters during the PTO settings has changed my attitude and allowed me to enjoy flight sims again.
The 325th is a young squad but commanded by Lowejg and Jeter00 with years of flight sim experience both axis and allied.

If you're looking for a first squad to get into the swing of things, this is where you need to be, these guys took me from a half-assed rookie to a full fledged killer! They are VERY patient, they give you any training you need, and there is always someone to watch your back in a fight. At the end of the night, you can ask questions about what happened, and you will get answers from all the guys about what happened and what you could have done! If you are new and struggling, these are the guys you need to hook up with, if you are good and just want something different, still the guys to go with. And if you are the god of aerial combat... one of these guys WILL shoot you down! lol. You can't go wrong here.

-
We fly P-51D's too. Vrooomm. But I'm just a cadet what do I know. :D
-
While not currently flying in AH, there are only 3 Squads I would be a member of. The 27th Sentai, The VF-27 "Hellcats" , Or the 325th FG !! :D There are Many Great Squads out there, and all of them have Great Pilots, and Competent Leaders. Depending on what you wish to BE, or to ACCOMPLISH, one of these Three Squads Have what You Need.
Blue, I am so glad to See you active, at least on the BB.
HighJacker, I have not forgotten How to Fly a Hell Kitty.
Lowe, Andi, Good Luck with the CheckerTails.
The Day is not far off, when one of You will find a Wingie trailin Behind Ya, callin the Break ! ;) Or cutting the Tail off of the one sneaking in on My Lead. :p
Happy Holidays, to Each of You, that Know the "Jaek" !! ;)
-
Jaek!
Happy Holidays, we all look forward to your return!:)
-
Lowe, you guys still kicking around a some joint ops in the MA? Or maybe a combined squad to terrorize the MA on occasion?
Happy holidays:D
-
MA is not much our thing but stranger things have happened. Didn't know the Hellcats left the CT for greener pastures. Will run it by the CO and see what he says.
Happy Holidays Slash & to the rest of the "Cats!"
!
-
Havent left the CT, just thought we might run some co-ops in the Ma once in awhile, just to stir things up.
-
:D
-
The 325th Still has a few places open.
-
I wanted to get the 325th back to the top of the thread. You guys are the best thing to happen to me in my flying career. I wish you guys nothing but success, multiple kills (but concentrate them on Shane, ok??), and blue skies!! Until we meet again...
PS- You guys kicked some butt lastnight. I know you guys are getting lethal when Eta flames my ass!! !!!
-
325th,
I'm already a member of the 13th Sentai but am always looking to improve my skills. If you ever need an IJ flyer to joust with during your Sunday Nite training sessions in the DA, just let me know, I could really use the practice myself.
Also, the 13th will be flying this new CT arena map a lot so we will probably see you guys in there. If you ever want to have an inter squad duel, contact our CO Keyapaha, it's great fun.
