I've started working on a new map, and wanted some player feedback i naddition to hearing from map editor folks...

Does this look interesting to anyone ??

Scary thing is I recognize all those land masses.

I don't appreciate you slicing off Colorado and replacing it with the middle east, particularly when Copper Mountain will be opening in a couple weeks.  

I've BEEN to the middle east, and the skiing sucks there unless you have a helicopter.  Would have been fun to do some climbing up in northern Pakistan, but we were only there a week.  Hard to get an expedition organized that fast  :)

I like it!

The real test will be seeing where the fields are located and the spawn points are set up for the ground vehicles.

I see the Red Sea in the upper left.  Not sure which parts are Colorado, but that looks like the beginning of Alaska's island chain in the upper right.

Overall, it looks pretty good.  Nice diversity of contours, altitudes, and land shapes.  Just remember to set it up so that the coastal towns are reachable by LVT.

If you have aspirations of seeing it in the MA then HiTech is the one you should be asking. If you haven't done this yet then I'd do so before spending much more time. Just a suggestion.

Bah.  You only say that because the Iberian peninsula will be furball central  :)

Borneo might get to be interesting, too.

I'm thinking the Phillipines will be the most hotly contested, sitting where it is.

Doody, Iron already told you this, but it's worth repeating:  If this is to be a main arena map, you're spinning your wheels unless you stay in close contact with HTC.

Ok, I'm blind.  That's not Alaska - its Europe. Italy and the Scandinavian countries should've given it away.  Looks like Indonesia in the lower left - is the bigger mass south of it the coast of Australia?

I like it the idea of a more "world terrain" map.  Good job!
