You want to have a brit vrs US debtate, do it on here. My last post was for fellow brits to come together in AH and say "yup I'm here" not for some arrogant Amercian to come in a say "US are the best"

Sorry but I've ahd enough of this crap!
British SAS vrs American seals, hmmmmmmmmm, like to see the seals train like the SAS. I would also like to see the seals do 85 KM (which is about 50 miles) in 8 hours WITH 209lbs bergens on their back.
It was over 200 iraqis killed with a 8 man SAS platoon. 3 men dead from teh SAS vrs 200 iraqis.
Last I heard of the BRILLIANT US ARMED FORCES was that they manage to destory another one of their Tank platoons, smart? yeah ok!
Also you talk about the yanks being TOP SNOTCH when it comes to war, well for some reason, one your your TOP NOTCH pilots decided to blow up on of our tank platoons, for some reason they didn't notice the big white crosses marked on the tanks, which indicated that their were allies.
So the the msot allied tank losses in the gulf war was from US fire. Funny that isn't it?
Also funny when we are bombing Bosina in 98 that the US manage to BOMB a Chinese embassy!!!!! simply because the US intellegent force were using a tourist map from 1996.
Don't tell me the Brits stink, all the yanks have is technology and numbers.
French? that the biggest insult you can give the brit.
Any Brit that likes the yanks more than there own, go become a U.S citizen then and disregard your rights as a brit because I can tell you this, this brit doesn't want anything to do with you and if yoou needed help, don't look my way.

To be truthful, I have not kept track of any of the whines which I've posted. Probably should have, however, I've found it most refreshing to just forget them all as soon as possible :)

I thought not either, SirLoin. I was a marathoner, and 50 miles in the desert with over 200lbs on your back in 8 hours? Forget it. Not on foot, anyway.

Heheh this was a BALD FACED LIE by Pres Clinton. Republican's only squeaked about for a week or so.. Urm.. what was all that eletronic tracking equipment doing in the Chinese emb 2nd floor?.

FWIW the US Army standard for a forced march was a 15-minute mile with 35-pound ruck carrying 200 rounds of ammunition. At least it was about 7-8 years ago when I was in.
It would be pretty impressive to see 50 miles with 200 pounds in 8 hours. What’s that, about a 10-minute mile with an extra 165 lbs. Impressive but I would think highly unlikely.

Maybe someone should clue this guy in on "seal's" (SEAL's).
seals= big fat worthless animals
SEAL= SEa Air Land tactical insertion unit.
I think he would be happy to know that Richard Marcinco, cmdr of SEAL team II (veitman) and SEAL team VI, trained a great portion of the now trainers of the SAS.
The SAS are great i will not argue that, a very respected tactical force. But to compare them to U.S SEALs is a joke. The are nothing compared to SEAL's or GSG9's (deutch)
example: in veitnam 2 SEALs, a jeep and a .50 cal infultrated a city which held POW nurses/doctors. they shot there way in, and shot there way out all un-harmed. Thats story is directly from the SEAL who manned the 50, not some jerk off on a fan-boy website who writes bs about 8 guys killing a entire army.
Hell forget the SEALs what about the texas raiders in WWII?? raid a island with 60 marines and kill the entire enemy force in one quick strike..

Dont forget kit, it was only about 80 Special Forces that fought and killed over 1000 Somalians in the 1993 incident...and the US forces only suffered 18 casualties, can the SAS beat that :)

My good RL friend commanded a unit of army rangers in that incident. There were over 60 Rangers, a delta force unit and a unit of SEAL's.
It was considered a loss and they pulled out of the city ASAP, dont believe everything you here on TV.
They were fighting over 5000 rebels and they indeed did extingquish a great ammount of them, but the army rangers suffered a great loss because they were not there to advance/move like the specail forces units were. The rangers were there to secure a area and hold the perimiter so the SPEC OPs could fall back, which they could not do easily vrs the over-whelming rebel forces.
Sgt.High was his name, he was shot buy a 12 year old boy in somolia with a AK47.

The worst aspect of Somalia was the fact that Clinton placed our boys under U.N. control, which in the end cost them lives which otherwise would have been saved.

Ive been hoping that somolia is next on the anti-terrorist toejam list. They are all part of the same terrorist network, and it is well known. It would be a good move on our presidents part, finishing a job the previous nutless president couldnt/wouldnt do.

Reading both books on that patrol I have to think the 200 thing was made up to sell books. Soldiers will lie about that kind of thing you know....

The embassy thing was just a love tap from a Super Power . That pissed em off , so later ,, they rammed a recon AC of ours :)

kit is a good guy. Dont take this ONE post to heart. He has alot of pride in his nation, as he should. Someone certainly riled him up but I can tell you from personal experience this isnt the norm...

Aye - Kit's just "over patriotic" - a rare thing these days. ;-) However - his post does have some merit on a generic scale - Ive trained with Royal Marines and they make us (USMC) look like boyscouts...
