Do we all now agree that engine cutting doesn't make super-pilots out of mediocre sticks now?
Many people have done tests and couldn't find the big difference in decceleration between cutting engine completely and simply throttling back. Even pilots who thought they were unjustly killed by lowly "gamers" in *suspicious situations* have now found out that (by golly gee!), that those kid gamers didn't have that advantage after all!
In other words you spazzes who whined that you were killed unjustly, would have, as I posted days ago, most likely died anyway. The gimmick wasn't a gimmick after all. And reality kicks you in the head. Time to spend more time on your ACM. ;)
Thanks.

feel all smug and superior now? ;)

if ou cut the engine will you stall faster??? if so then that explains the amazing stall fighting power of the hurri1

No nifty, not about my pilot skill at all. One particular post comes to mind that read something like "I was wondering how I was getting beat in these stall fights, now I know!" when actually the guy was getting beaten in those stall fights. :)

So, why would anyone cut the engine during a fight?
-
Convenience.
If it was easier for me to map a button to cut the engine than it is for me to chop the throttle, I would. I use a twisty with a beer in one hand and all buttons used up, so it's not and I use the throttle chop. (like a real pilot would fly with a drink in his hand, legs crossed, watching TV! I'm a gamer!)
