Title: I am a stat potato....
Post by: Fancy on October 29, 2002, 03:43:48 PM: Well not exactly a potato per se, but I do check my stats often. Basically though I care little for ranks (It's easy to become a high-ranked bomber, but very hard to become a high-ranked fighter), but more for the stats. I like the fact that stats are reset for each tour as this helps me mark my progress. Mostly I use stats to see in what areas I need improvement--the areas that aren't immediately obvious while actually flying--and, likewise to see if I might not be so good in a certain plane as I think. Are you a stat potato too?

I've been playing MA since March. A marked improvement in stats every tour because I'm able to check what I need work on.

BTW, it's very uncool to admit it, checking stats-n-stuff. Most folks won't admit to it but seem to know a lot about their personal stats.
You can, however, learn a lot and improve on certain things by watching your stats.
My favorite section is plane-type kills/deaths etc. page.

I'd like to be able to easily see how I do in each plane-type verses all others.

Post by: hogenbor on October 30, 2002, 01:08:01 AM: Do it for the same reason... gone from K/D 0.2 in the first week to 1.1 now. And I usually only fly planes with high (>35) eny values, mostly the FM2, FW190A5 and recently the LA5.

I also like to see that I have a K/D better than 1 against P51's, LA7's, Spit IX's and Dora's. Only the Dora is giving me a lot of trouble... maybe I'll have to try it myself?

Very revealing. Looking at my K/D ratio, I've scored a fantastic 6.00 K/D ratio not in a plane and not in a ground vehicle and not in a gun - but in my chute! :eek:

I wonder if I can have kill flags painted on the silk...
