Title: Ack Still Brutal

I got blowed up last nite at a good 6 to 8000 yrds from the carrier in a 550 knot dive at 5 to 8k alt.  Kaboom !!....ded.  In the interest of accuracy, thats a bit much, no?  I thought the last patch was gonna fix it.....no biggie..just a waitin'  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

He did fix it.  I hovered over CVs quite a bit last night.  I was damaged on one sortie.. but not really hurt unless I got within 2k of the fleet.

Randomness still means someone gets hit.

i was over the same carrier as AKDjv here... for that matter i sunk the bastard in P51 later  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Anyway, i flew circles over it for 10 minutes waiting for some bastard to roll, whole time in ack - not one ping on me.

I guess it evens out...

Last night I was on an enemy's six (~700 ft) near an enemy Task Group and the fleet ack picked me off.

Then later, over an enemy base, an enemy on MY six got picked off by his own flak! Felt kinda sweet   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

How about if ack gets more "cautious" when friendlies are in the vicinity? Would this be hard to implemement?

Hehe, I got pinged by flak over my own airfield while following a dang 109 at d85 in my Yak. Took out my elevators.. damn was I pissed.

Flak now is cool. The only gripe I have with it is that it follows you too closely. Go ahead and fly straight..see the ack puffs. Dive really fast and see the ack puffs follow you perfectly thru the entire dive. I guess a 2 second delay between flak alt aiming would be nice.. or something  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
