How do I go about this....I do not want to embed the file and what I'm after is to have the music play as folks view all of the pages without the music stopping and restarting.
Flash?
Help!
-
Just a guess... but divide your page into frames. Embed the sound file in one of the frames, and have the other pages pop into the other frame.
-
Yes... Nash has it...

However you decide to do it, make sure to include an obvious way to turn it off.
Music on web pages, especially MIDI crap, annoys alot of people.

So do pop up ads. Doesn't stop them from including them on the site.

still sucks though.
that's why I use a pop-up blocker ;)
rip... what kind of music ? midi, wav, mp3, what ?
-
Thanks alot guys:)
One more.......is there a free utility which will allow me stream the music rather than have folks wait on a download to hear the tunes?
I will probably use an mp3, but can use a .wav if I have to.

You can stream using Flash.
Also look for a program called RealProducer. It creates RealMedia (.rm) files.

I suggest you use MP3.
I have a few on my website. The end user can select to download or stream them.
IMO it's better than forcing the tunes down the surfers' throats.
