Do you think Eric Cartman was named after Eric Hartman, the world's leading ace? :)
-
i don't think the writers of south park even know WW2 happened

What makes you say that?

they've dressed cartman up as hitler before (i think he looks more like goering), which would indicate they have some inkling about early 1900s politics

As punishment for wearing his Hitler uniform to school on Halloween, the principal forced Cartman to watch a history film about how bad the Nazis were. The film was "Triumph of the Will"
Then the principal gave Cartman a ghost costume to wear over his Hitler suit that made it look like he was in the KKK.
I love that show.

They're so cute when they're young :D

LOL....remember CHef's reaction? What's wrong with you boy!
That show, like Beavis and Butthead, had some great shows...but sadly is dragged on to where its not so funny no more.

I agree, I taped the 1st 3 years and there is some comedy genius in those shows. They seem to have degenerated lately to the point where I can't enjoy them anymore.

I think SouthPark is getting better each episode.
I love Butters.
-
Not only that, MidNight...but Sci-Fi and Comdey Central just poun you with the SAME commericals everyone 5 minutes or less, it seems. Just as soon as the show starts, BAM, another commercial.
The original South Park is still my favorite, the one with Jesus. I think I have that Quicktime somewhere...I admire how obnoxious they've been (the creators) and havent gone soft and fluffy on us. But hearing they were dumping Kenny and stuff....dunno. Magic just isnt there

The Kenny gimmick was already old and tiresome. Butters is better.

Kenny was a predictable and limited character, but Butters has no comedic value at all, IMHO.

Then you need to re-adjust your humor sensors.
Butters is not a gag. Its a very well done character representing that innocent kid with low confidence that is in every group of children. I think its hilarious how he rebels and wants to destroy the world.
He, Cartman, Chef and Mr Garrison are the only characters with some kind of depth to them. They are funny because they have personality.

I'll get right on it.

oh and next weeks episode is the boys try and find kenny. I still like the show even after all this time.
Even last nights holloween episode with Korn was funny as hell.
I agree animal those are the only characters with personality in the show Kyle and Stan are a bit old.
And Butters takes one for the team :D

It was a joke.
Get it? a joke.

I kinda like Timmy as a refreshingly incorrect humor subject.

I spent 5 years teaching special ed...
Timmy is the closest I've ever seen to the real thing. Brilliant.
TIMMAH!

Saw a movie starring/written by Trey Parker/Matt Stone about 5 years ago, think it was called something like 'Cannibal the Musical'
They made before they were famous. I remember laughing a lot but I can't remember much about it. (Apart from one of the songs)
Anyone seen it?
South Park: The Movie is on tonight in the UK. First time and I'm going to watch it just to see if they are forced to cut/bleep any of it :D

I was pretty disappointed in the movie.
I love the series, but the movie seemed to have about the same content as a single 30 minute (less commercial time) episode drawn out into 2 hours.
-
The movie was alright... "Operation Human Shield" - maybe they'll ask for reperations in the next episode?

what about the next line in the movie:
"operation get behind blakie"
couldn't believe some of the watermelon they got away with in that movie.
"Blame Canada" nominated for and oscar ?!?!?!?!?!?!
-
I hate that movie, but it was funny. You Uncle F ker! :D
-
How they got an orchestra to score "Kyle's Mom is a squeak" amazes me, and sounds great.
South Park: The Movie is more like a musical....love it....Base-ket-Ball was a hard to watch movie for me...funny parts ("little squeak") here and there...

Well, some of the shows are getting old - but all I have to see is the halloween episode where Cartman dresses up as Hitler and Im in stiches!
