Who can make one (for the B5N2) that actually works? I want one(http://bellsouthpwp.net/a/u/austi262/Web%20Pages/fig2.jpg)
and how about the Pearl Harbor B5N2s, armed with one of the special 1,653-lb. bombs converted from a naval armor-piercing shell, flying from the carrier Akagi.

During the MIDWAY event over in WARBIRDS some guys come up with a homemade sight for the KATE to launch torpedoes with.
It consisted of two parts. The first was a range gage. You flew toward the CV till you had the ship in this set of brackets. Once the bow and stern touched each bracket - you were in range.
Then you turned 45 deg in the same direction the target was heading and brought another line on the side canopy in line with the ships island and launched a torpedo. Was pretty acurate - 7 times out of 10 you would get a hit.
P.S. Those special shells were actually 16 inch AP rounds from the battleship NAGATO fitted with fins. Loved carrying the 800kg bombs on strikes - you could do some REAL damage with them if you surrived long enough to drop it.

Notice how the B5N lacks forward guns or even a gunsight :)

right jab. Been looking that stuff up and noticed that several web sites also claim guns but havent seen any pics. Even plastic models dont have them. I love that cockpit picture. Neet looking torpsite.

I bet ya the AH Kate will indeed have the torpedo sight.
Look at the sight we got in the Val :)
