Title: Internet Exploder ?
Post by: Ripsnort on November 03, 2002, 08:06:22 AM
Internet Explorer 5.0
Set up wifes new OS (WinXP Pro) however on all webpages, when you click on hyperlinks within webpages, the window pops up blank...I've checked most of the security settings to low security, have all the internet options set to enabled, have tried default settings, etc.  Any clues?

Checked the settings to my IE and they're identical..however we do have a work around (Properties, then copy/paste URL to location bar)

Netscape 7.0 does tabbed browsing, too.  It also has a popup squelcher, which is nice.

                         SYMPTOMS
When you click a hyperlink in an e-mail message or on a Web page, or right-click a hyperlink on a Web page and
then click Open in New Window, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
                         Nothing happens.
The new window may be blank.
You may receive a scripting error message.
In addition, when you try to connect to Web folders, you may receive the following error message:

The current operation could not be completed because an unexpected error has occurred.

To resolve this problem in Internet Explorer:
Quit all programs that are running.
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type regsvr32 /i urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded." message, click OK.
