Go to http://www.rage3d.com, d/l the latest drivers and the rage3dtweak utility. Turn your V-sync on within the utility (under Direct3D and OpenGL). In AH video menu', I set the maximum fps at 60 as well. This fixed the stutter in AH.

Now I can run at FSAA 4X without any fps hit.  Anisotropic filtering, however, makes the text buffer and icons almost unreadable.

YMMV, but I hope this can help.

That fix worked for me, however after loading the 6193 drivers the film viewer crashes after loading the pizza map by default.   By removing the pizza map the thing loads fine but won't run any films.   Other then that AH runs fine now, and only get an occasional stutter which is very livable.  Any suggestions on what to do about the film viewer?

Do you have DirectX 8.1?  When I first built my computer it had Dx8.0 installed from somewhere and it caused stutter and shaking in AH, installing Dx8.1 cured that.
