As the leader of a Nation, it is not his job to make himself aware of everything going on. Obviously those 2 beside him are updating him on the visual representations before them.

He must appear tho to be doing it all himself. Thats the test of leadership.

He's doing a pretty good job dont ya think?

Bush aint the smartest kid in the block, but I bet he didnt hold them like that for more than 2 seconds.

Its normal to take binoculars someone handed you thinking they are open. I dont see this as stupidity.

Look closely.  Just guessing here, but don't some binoculars have a built in range-finder that operates separately from the primary lenses?
