Title: All US citizens, remember to vote tomorrow
Post by: Karnak on November 04, 2002, 07:54:41 PM
I don't care how you guys vote, but if you haven't already sent in an absentee ballot get out there tomorrow and make your voices heard.  Voting is a fundamental function in our nation.  Voting is something our forefathers fought and died for.

Our nation doesn't work if we don't vote.

While I basically agree, can I please add. don't vote on any issue or candidate that you haven't educated yourself on.  Failing to vote is better than voting based on little or no info.

i've been writing in a myself since '96, but i kinda regret it.  the larger the turnout is the greater the mandate for whatever moron is elected.  i'll vote the next time someone i want to win has a chance (in '92 i vote for a homless man running for the house of reps - he came in 3rd)

heres the latest line from the Iowa Electronic Markets (politics gambling)
RH-RS is republican house and senate
NH-NS is nonrepublican house and senate
winners get $1 per share, the graph displays the price per share.
i have 100 shares each of NH-NS & NH-RS
