fa has a few better looking terrains and the strat model they use is far superior to ah.
The plane models and fm are crap.
Gameplay even in the easy rooms is about the same as the ah main.

Aint worth the dl'd imho.........

i think those graphics suck and the setup of the game sucks, the graphics are horrible, they look like CFS 1 graphics and those plane paint schemes are the worst, AH is definatly better....i would undoubatly pay 50$ for this game, but since its free that makes it even better....AH must have worked really really hard on this game and warbirds is nothing compared to this
-
No wonder they only show those screenshots in a small size - imagine what they would look like full screen! :p Give me AH any day!
-
FA sucks dead sheeps woolly bits....thats really all I have to say about that.......:D

Hey, this looks great! Downloading it on my sons computer soon as I get home! (AH flight model is just a tad advanced for him, he loves flying around in FA 2.0 that he's got on his box, the FM suits a 6 yr. old just fine!)

Are those supposed to be computer screen shots or water color paintings?
-
Graphics are secondary (or even tertiary) to me. And those graphics look like ass. So what if the resolution on the textures is a little tighter when the actual texture looks like buttcheese. In fact, if the texture looks like an asscrack, then it's better to have lower resolution.
There are a few things that really keep me about AH. One is the little gameplay facets that go unnoticed most of the time but yet support smooth gameplay. (Like the storing of head positions and loadout/convergence settings for each individual plane.) One other is that AH successfully transmits an atmosphere. Each plane is so well modelled (performance wise) that flying it even competently requires much practice. So, each engagement creates tension for me. I know there are so many great pilots out there that I truly fear for my safety when engaging. Other games are, to use an AH jingoism, too gamey. You just get a bunch of kids that find that one little thing it takes to dominate everyone else and they'll repeatedly do that thing over and over again. It takes quite a bit of a lot of things to keep your nose above water here no matter what plane you're in. AHers and the HTC team.

Doesn't have the same look as AH... can't say if the difference in appearance is more than skin deep.

There are more full size screens shots here:

FWIW... I've played around with FA1, FA2 and FA3. I don't like the feel of it.

Not a clue... I assumed it was some sort of explosion... I haven't seen it before.

Rightfoot, that's what the wingman of the last Japanese 2-ship of fighters launched to intercept a lone B-29 over tokyo saw...
-
Is that what that's supposed to be, a nuke?
I didn't know FA-3 had nukes.
-
ahhh forgot the hint at a joke:

That one was at least 5 megatons.

Wow, I can't believe that those screen-shots represent the best of that game. It looks like they might have suffered pretty bad during compression. I've seen better offerings, and I have to say I like the FA eye-candy for the most part. The existance of easy mode is what turns me off from FA.

Yes, yes it does. ;)
Take a look at the 190 in that same picture... look at how long the outer wing gun barrels are, I bet you that'll send the LW into coniption fit!

Hving been forced to move on to low cost online flight sims after leaving Warbirds a few years ago I found myself flying in Fighter Ace. You guys think that car bombers and suicide dweebs are bad in AH...Go spend a few weeks in FA and you will see that on a scale beyond comprehension.
The one thing I do like about FA is the way that the ground combat is handled by the server. I used to have a blast nailing train load after train load of supplies headed into base areas while we were covering tank columns as they moved out to take an area.
