Title: Custume gunsight problem.

I have used my own gunsights in the past and had no problem with them then. Now I just  downloaded the P-51D Historic sight from the the website and modified it to be more "symmetric" :-) I am kind of funny that way. Anyway Whenever I try to launch in AH I get CTD. No error or anything, just CTD. I placed my older sight I made and it still works. I can't see what the problem is. I will attach it and maybe you can help? BTW I had to make the background white since if I use magenta it makes it all black on screen. I get into AH just fine, its when I try to take off.:mad:

If anyone knows how to fix this and wants my revised version from the one already on this sight, I don't mind. Even if ya want to update the sight with this once its fixed???

did you modify it from the game's directory? i did that once, bad news. i had to put the original file back into the sights directory, then put the modified sight file into the sights directory under a new name. The game does not like you modifying the file in the sight directory.

I figured it out.

1) You can't use 127x127, has to be 128x128. Or a even number I guess.

2) The crashes were caused by saving it as 24bit bitmap, has to be 256bmp.

Atached is the new file. If anyone wants it, or if HT wants to add it to the sight. It is just a revised, mkore symetric, version of the Historic P-51D file that is already listed.
