Title: How do I cancel my WB's account, they won't let me, lol
Post by: JFalk on June 06, 2000, 02:26:00 PM: I know this is an Aces High board, but considering the amount of ex WB's here I figured someone could help me out.

I have sent 2 emails to IEN and made 3 phone calls where I left messages expressing my desire to close my WB's account and I have not seen any action taken, not even an email back stating what they need exactly to close my account. I have left my phone number, login ID, security code , email, whatever I thought they would need to cancel my account and still no action. I am getting pretty upset since they are wasting my time here. Are they hoping by ignoring me that I will keep my WB's account? You cant even close your account from the account maintenance section of their webpage, just chance your plan. This is pathetic, I never heard of a company not allowing you to cancel your subscription through their website. Someone PLEASE help me get out of WB's land. I have saved the emails, is there any one I can contact officially about their business practices.

I've had good luck with Iceman, decent luck on the phone. Haven't had to resort to CC company yet...

I'd rather be flyin than hanging around listening to recorded hold messages, so I finally called the CC company and told 'em to cut em off. I had my best luck getting through right after lunch their time. Forget Email, seems they never check that.

If all else fails go to the CC company.

Post by: eye on June 06, 2000, 11:05:00 PM: I was riped for 2 extra months by them.Tried to cancel account on phone email etc. I yelled on phone finaly got it canceled. They are doing this on purpose watch out others riped this way too. Dont be a victim like me. They loseing money now ah around so they conveniently forgeting to close them on time. Watch out.

Post by: DoctorYO on June 07, 2000, 07:16:00 AM: Considering that I too had a problem cancelling my account with them...Maybe we should send a class action complaint to the better business bureau for their state and get the ball rolling for further litigation against them....

Pretty piss poor business practices considering what they are doing...

If there is any interest to jack them back in legal and professional manner post this thread and I will see what type of response we get on this matter.

Post by: Dnil on June 07, 2000, 08:23:00 AM: FYI, when I cancelled my AH account, response was extremely fast, with the months remaining balance put back on my card. I am extremely happy with the service I received from HTC. That alone makes the idea of coming back real easy to accept.

Post by: deluxe on June 07, 2000, 10:50:00 AM: I just called to cancel my Warbirds account today and got through in one ring!!! They cancelled it w/ no problems. Thanks for reminding me to cancel the $9.95 monthly fee!!! I haven't flown there in months. WTG ACES HIGH!!!

Check your CC bill, I got 2 confirmations by email that mine was closed, but indeed it stayed open for 3 months.

Post by: Mighty1 on June 07, 2000, 12:52:00 PM: Same thing happened to me..they said my account was closed but it took them several months to stop billing my CC. I finally had to call my CC company and had them stop anymore stransactions with IEN.
