Im not saying change it it is a good map BUT the fact is it takes 3-4 times longer to get a reset on the mindanao map(and the islands map for that matter) compared to the others(uterus and baltic)
Im absolutely fed up with mindanao! please could you put uterus and baltic in more often?
something like mindanao baltic uterus islands baltic uterus (repeat)?
Im sorry for complaining but for the last 3 days everytime i log on its mindanao! hardly any Gv action lots of gangbanging from a2 or other high bases.parts of the map are really good but the reset is extremely difficult and therfore more rare.Uterus gets reset in a matter of hours sometimes.
Isnt there any other maps ? what happened to the old 3 sided beta map? how about the pacific map like the one in SEA? could we use the Med terrain in MA?
please anything but mindanao for days on end, :p

mindanao is my favorite :) It looks awesome and I love the rugged looking landscape.

Really sorry for u hazed , I know that feeling very well .
But have to say I like all the maps but the "Uterus" but I do understand that one works better for gv use .

I think most people like Mindanio and don't push as hard for the reset as they do with other maps ;)

Mindinao imho is worse then that old beta map. In that beta map there were canyon gv wars atleast.

yeah but sirloin id like to do it to you more often in the baltics and less often in mindanao :D hehe
PS all, dont want it removed just want a chance to see the other maps instead of 90% of the time logging on to find mindanao.

I don't mind Mindanao (it's a Good looking map), but it's true it's missing GV spawnpoints...

I too have a love/hate relationship with Mindanao. It's a beautiful map. There is a nice selection of altitudes. All in all, very attractive.
However, it has two problems from my point of view.
1) The fields are so close together that field capture is extremely difficult, thus Mindanao drags on and on and on. Remove 25% of the fields and you'll solve the problem.
2) The country with the Westmost island has a terrific advantage. It's difficult to attack their HQ and all capture attempts have to start at the neck area. To be sure, you can sneak capture a field, but there's no way to support it once you've got it!
Rather than removing Mindanao, I would prefer to see some fields removed. Don't see any obvious way to fix the West island problem.

Mindanao is great IF you like high altitude fights. So no surprise that the Jug pilots love it.
Mindanao sucks if you like low alt fights.
The whole center tends to be 5 or 6k with 8 to 10k mountains.
I think part of the reason that it hangs around so long is that it is very well balanced. Smaller fields in the center change hands but the farther you penetrate into a country the tougher it is.
I'd love to see more Ground Vehicle spawn points. As it currently is Ground Vehicles hardly come into play at all.

I think some of you just arent looking for gv spawn points. If I remember correctly, there should be some spawn points that put you in range of factories and cities on that map. A little birdy once told me that. :)

WHy not cycle through EVERY single map ever created after each reset.

Highflyer because every single map ever created is not compatible with the latest version of AH. And not every single map is suitable for gameplay balance reasons.
Why run maps that do not showcase some of the new features?

***There are too many fields, too close together and not enough spawn points.***
Suggestions:
Remove the 3 small fields in the center (A3, A25, A44).
Remove a large field deep in each countries homeland (perhaps A11, A37, A53).
Add spawning points along most (all?) coasts.
VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that spawn points work both ways. Right now, some of the fields in the area from A4 to A30 can spawn in one direction only. That doesn't make sense to me.

Mindano's a beautifull map but it definately needs vehicle spawn points. The uterus map was the absolute worst, ugly and plain as hell.

I love the Mindanao map. There has got to be a better solution to the GV spawn point problem. Anyone try a good, old fashion amphibious assault? I’m not being sarcastic; just wondering if anyone’s tried it. After all, the CVBG’s are moving bases with GV spawn points. True, the LVT-4 is no match for a panzer (or maybe it is…haven’t tried it), but you could land them anywhere along the coast. Give them a decent cap and put enough ashore and you could make a difference. What we could really use to make this more practical are LST’s capable of putting real tanks ashore.
Another possibility would be to eliminate or limit (perhaps to just interior bases) the Panzer IV and Ostwinds in island terrains such as Mindanao but allow the lesser GV’s. That way the LVT-4 would be the heaviest gun out there. Attackers and defenders alike would be able to role them from any base. After all – and to use the “H” word – historically speaking heavy tanks played only a minor role in the island campaigns of the Pacific. This idea could be implemented with the current terrain, by the way; no changes necessary. With the heavy tracks eliminated, an amphibious assault would stand a real chance of success. Say, that is an idea!

Mindy map is gorgeous but IMO the worst for gameplay.
At the moment I'm awaiting for my Saitek X36 to be replaced under warranty. So I'm using an old crappy joystick but can only really use it for GVs BUT there are hardly any damn spawn points on the Mindy map! Argh!!! So over the last 10 days I've hardly played AH because of the stupid Mindy map! If you're going to keep this map then PLEASE put some more GV spawn points in!! :(
Also, as Hazed mentioned, what about the old Beta map and 'sfterrain' map?

Yup, Mindanao does seem to go on forever...whoever has the west islands pretty much wins most of the time.
Pretty, just like to see more use of GVs in the interior.
And why are there mountains on the end of practically every runway? :)

IM NOT ASKING FOR CHANGE OR REMOVAL OF MINDANAO.
what id like to see is equal amount of time of all the maps.mindanao takes 2-3 times longer to finish so PLEASE put it on less times than the othersso we get the chance to play all of them equally.Simply a request for a different order in maps.
HTC if its possible and doesnt take huge programming effort add some of the other maps that are already made like the MED etc.Theres also a great many player made maps that may be suitable? if you need them to be tested why not set up the sea arena to run the same thing as in MA(maps swaps for wins) and we can use it as a testing area for any maps you have no time to make yourself or some you like but have no time to test?
I realise MED isnt the best example of an MA map as its short HQs for 3 sides etc but im sure if you made it clear the maps players make need to be for MA im sure people will offer their designs with a lot of enthusiasm if they thought they could eventually be used in MA.
btw HTC with the new rail convoys etc will we then have only 1 map usable in MA? if so i guess all these requests are pretty pointless :), let us know please?

Amphibious assaults are fun but usually short lived because CV is so vulnerable, hard to cap it in lvt range of nme base. Maybe carrier should go back to 6k to sink, at least that way it would take a concerted effort to kill it instead of one suicide plane. And yes I have been that suicide plane several times.

Here is my two cents...
it basically boils down to whether we want a dogfight type map or land grab type map...
kind of a hard balance to make...
so why not do this? set a timer for each war ... kinda like materials being depleted on all sides... <G> Max 3 days for one map or forced reset of the map to another one <G>
OR
have one week of pacific (even after reset), one week of the mickey mouse map, one week of baltic, one week of mindanao, and 5th week... hmmm... forced combat arena??? <GGG>
