If you are doing this in the training arena then damage is set to make things almost invulnerable.

Maybe you aren't flying it right.

Mossies may catch fire from time to time, but I've seen experts nail each ack with just two rounds of Hispanos and knock out every ack in the base using less than 1/4 of total rounds.

Two words.

SPELL CHECKER.

Anyways, I don't have a clue what you're talking about as long as you're not attacking a friendly field, field acks die in one or two cannon hits.  Or maybe you're firing way to far out, who knows.

Field ack's die after only a couple hits from ANY gun.

Ditto,

Field ack's die when you blow on them. I can de-ack a small field by myself with 6 .50cal without to much trouble or ammo.

With a Mossie you should be able do that no prob.

I used to have a problem with acks but I learned to fly straight at them and fast. Make sure in the beggining you just go one at a time. Stay at a 45 degree angle and fire dead center. No run up required. If I were doing that in a Mossie I wouldn't was my cannon. Try practicing with Mg only.

BTW always start with the VH ack.

it's good that you're able to shoot 'em acks with only a couple of rounds. I wouldnt be much of alive if they didn't :D

Also I think the Flak (black schrapnell clouds) should be more intens, I can just steam on with a B-17 without ever getting hit, and if they hit I dont get any damage.

anyone agrees?

Why waste cannon ammo on guns?  I use the Mossie's .303s for deacking.  God knows that's the only thing they're good for.

And killing chutes.

Ah.  I hadn't thought of that.

Then again, I don't kill chutes unless the guy is an obvious spy.

I like to use the .303s to tap out a little funeral march on my opponents wing surfaces.

Does anyone feel that the Mossie is not as agile as it should be? The Mosquito was a highly capable machine, capable of doing serious ATA damage, Mossies scored over 70 FW190 kills during WW2. Also, I have read that a Mosquito could, after a high-speed run, cut and feather one engine and go vertical, rolling as she went up. No other plane at the time could perform an upward roll with half power.

I find the mossie pretty darn agile. Keep in mind it has above average range so remember to take a lighter fuel load for comparisons.

I've been meaning to take that thing med alt hunting one of these days.  It's a pretty good low alt boom and zoom plane. That gun package leaves little room for your enemy to make mistakes.

I like the mossie, sometimes I take it up fighter hunting light with say 50% gas and Dt's  (Dt's to get me to the action if far, if enemy not very good will even keep tanks on).  If there are GV's around load up heavy as hell and have a party.  Great dual-role fighter with one of most powerful gun packages in the game.

If you can't kill AAA (in a normal online arena) with a mossie, you need some practice.   Practice offline on an enemy base first so you don't get mad online.

i found it to handle a bit like a sloppy fish, and also i once had a hard time catching a 110g10 (or whatever the later war model is we have)

it can also go up like a match on a single pass!
