Indian cultural conservatives targeted wireless providers yesterday, claiming short message service technology was a major cause of divorce in the country. India's National Human Rights Council staged protest in the capital, New Delhi, according to news agency AFP, where they burned a cellular telephone. The group's leader, Subhash Gupta claimed that the SMS sub culture ran counter to Indian norms of etiquette, sparked marital discord and were diverting Indian youth towards other Western trends, such as dating.

Just a reminder for some of our resident "culture clashers", don't be so overzealous, Hindus are known to hate Muslims, so for now you are allowed to ignore their dislike for any Western things... The enemy of my enemy.... you know... that practical thinking of yours....

not the way india has been sabre ratling w/ pakistan.  pakistani security at it's afghan border wold have been so much better in Nov/Dec of last year if india hadn't been threatening atomic war over kashmiri terrorism that everyone knew was al Q trying to destabilize pakistan
