which plane is the fastest after the me 262? is it the Spit 14?
-
No quick answer.
What altitude?
-
top speed or acceleration ?
-
i mean the overall speed in flight
-
Wasn't the Blackbird doing like mach 3 at one point?
-
what color?
-
Fatest prop plane is the Ta152H-1, at altitudes of over 30k.
Fastest non-perked plane is the Bf109G-10, about 448~452mph at 22k.
Fastest plane at low altitudes is the Typhoon.
-
if a plane accelerates to 350 in an instant and takes forever to reach topspeed of 415 it's possible to say it's slower than another plane that accelerates slowly all the way to 440.
Here is a link to a java applet that graphs for comparison speed and climb of 4 different planes of your choice:
http://www.jannousiainen.net/online_sims/jg_4/index.htm
it's at the bottom of the page.
Fastest speed in level flight depends on altitude but in terms of just "fast", with wep:
1)tempest
2)la7
3)51D
4)D9
5)F4U4
5)spit14
5)G10
6)YakU
order varies when you consider if it's just level speed, or in constant turn or zooming straight upwards, at what altitude, etc.

Why no mention of the Ar-234?
-
sounds like he's asking about fighters.
-
isn't there graphs on the HTC home page?
-
He _did_ ask what the fastest PLANE was, after the 262.
I know most of y'all are fighter snobs that chuckle to yourself and think of bombers as 'fluffers', but that's no reason to neglect mentioning the 2nd fastest plane in the game. The Ar-234, even though the current model makes it unflyable (not because of FM, but because of cost. The new bomber model allows three bombers to produce the damage of one bomber in the laser-site days. The problem is that to fly a formation of Ar-234s costs 3x as much, yet gives the same battle effectiveness of the pre-1.10 bomb system. Finally, there's a bug in the 234 where even if you fly a single bomber and crash it, you lose 180 perks instead of just the 60 that you should lose).

Static HTC graphs. (http://hitechcreations.com/ahhelp/models/models.html)
