really pisses me off should be big penalties for that happend 3 times today on some b17 kill`s. went up to 28k to get 2 of them shot them in pieces and boom poof gone ??
then again could be discoes but i doubt it.

I thought an ALT F4 still gave a kill to the nearest enemy contact?
 But the end result was the same, no? You got to altitude but just didn't have to waste any bullets!  :)

Correct. Takes awhile to show up on your text buffer, about 1 min.  You do NOT have to have any bullets in them either.

That's what I thought  :)   Anytime I see an enemy ALT F4 to avoid being shot down I chuckle. I give them a virtual "thankee" and laugh at the dweeb. For they make it easy for me by not taking the good chance they could shoot me down. The end result is that they're still gone, I'm still flying but at a better altitude now and better yet I hadn't had to fire a single round to do it.

Heh...we were flying in the TOD and one of our squaddies who wasn't around for a while joined us.

Not remembering the default key for the gun cam he asked over RW what it was.

SOB being the nice helpful sort said "ALT - F4" and about 2 seconds later.....POOF!  The guy exploded...and loggin in about 2 mins later :)

Well thingy is i did waste ammo on them and did get their wings ripped off and then poooooooof nothing nithing ingenting lol.
no kill message no loving  ingenting.
