Title: Good Riddance!!!!!!!!
Post by: snafu on November 15, 2002, 06:01:38 PM
The British tax payer was relieved of another drain on it's resources today when Myra Hindley died. My only regret is that the final body was never found. Hopefully Ian Brady will follow soon and they can rot in Hell or wherever together. I still can't belive people were campaigning for her release right up until the end.

I hardly think the Sex Pistols and Ronnie Biggs are in the same league (Unless you know something about them I don't)?

Ronnie Biggs was part of the group who stole a total of £2.6M in 1963 in what became known as "The Great Train Robbery". During the robbery the Driver was hit over the head and never fully recovered. He died 7 years later (Not as a result of the injuries sustained in the attack). Although involved in the robbery Ronnie was not the mastermind (that was a guy called Bruce Reynolds I think). Neither was he involved in the unfortunate incident with Jack Mills. As far as I'm aware he did not even board the train during the robbery. For this he was sentenced to 55 years for unarmed robbery. He escaped in 1965 and was on the run until recently.

The Sex Pistols were a band began to believe there own publicity but who were considerably better than a lot of people gave them credit for. The link with Biggs involved some lyrics such as...
"God save Myra Hindley"
"God save Ian Brady"

(And Martin Bormann, Idi Amin  plus others)

Not sentiments I agree with personally but Hey It's a demococy right?

Myra Hindley & Ian Brady on the other hand were 2 twisted killers who lured young children and then subjected them to rape, torture & finally death even recording the events (On audio tape) before burying them in shallow graves.

And because you bought the album you possibly think I consider you as bad as Hindley? I might not be the sharpest knife in the draw but help me out here.

The world is a slightly better place today.

I'm hope they will be rotting in Hell for eternity. Brady has been on hunger strike for 3 years, they should do us all a favour and let him die ASAP.

In most US states these vermin would have been executed.  The rest of the world would then shake their heads and talk about how primitive we are.

Ironically Hindley & Brady escaped the Death Penalty by only a few weeks when it was repealed in the UK in 1965 :(

I've always had my reservations about the Death Penalty debate more for "What if they got ther wrong person" (As has happened occasionally) rather than any desire to save these low lifes for possible re habilitation. But with modern forensic methods I think there is a very strong case for it's more widespread adoption as the ultimate deterrant.

Perhaps something based on the "Running man" could be fun.

The Guilford Four or Birmingham Six would not have found it fun...

A perfect example of why I have had my reservations in the past. The Birmingham Six and the Guilford Four happened in the Mid 70's. Modern advances in forensics should ensure these miscarraiges of Justice could not be repeated. Both of these cases though seemed to be based more on Hysteria and racial bias than logical determination which is unfortunately still with us in some cases.  Too many times people forget It is More Important to Acquit the Innocent Than To Convict the Guilty. I suppose until some people in a positrion of power accept this the danger of similar miscarraiges still exist.
