Title: New system video probs - unplayable!
Post by: BD on November 16, 2002, 08:42:03 AM
I just got a new dell 2.4ghz, running a gforce ti 4400 on a digital flat panel lcd monitor.

Game loads fine, but when I am flying all movements that should be smooth are very jerky.  Any time there is any G force that moves the pilot's head, it jerks in stutter steps instead of a smooth movememnt.

Makes the game about unplayable.

I've tried this in every resolution, and tried checking or unchecking all the video options in the AH video setup screen.

Help!

This sounds like a monitor problem to me , response time with the lcd or whatever they call that .

I would call Dell and ask them . If the first guy you talk to don't know the answer ask to speak to his boss .

Got it figured out.  I was using the digital interface cable from the video card to the monitor, so I switched from that to an analog one, and the problem was cured.

Not sure why but it seems that the digital output was what was causing the problem.

Thanks, though.
