My deepest apologies. The truth finaly comes out.
I have had enough. My account has been canceled.

Hawk wish you wouldnt do that, that doesnt make anything work, stay here and hash it out with the rest of us. Too much fun to fly against and i get a lot of satisfaction when i get a kill on you, not often but once inawhile. Stay with the rest of us CTers we can get this working.

Gee Erg all I did was come to the defense of VF-27 and 880 because your setup got whined away. Don't blame this on Lowe if Hawk wants to quit. Hawk you did the same thing in Warbirds you've admitted it yourself, and I for one don't want to see you go. I like you and I like flying with you, I just don't understand why your so miserable. I know flying Japanese is hard, hell it's the least attractive side to fly for usually. The biggest problem on the Japanese side is numbers more than aircraft, yes the aircraft are frail, yes they are slow, but this last set up was very winable for the Japanese. You know I want to fly Allied jusyt like most people, but I fly Japanese during these PTO's to help even it up. So don't post some lame feel sorry for Hawk the bad ole Lowe made him quit B.S.
You decided to quit, just like you decided to post something while you were angry, and regretted it later. Thats not my fault, thats yours. So stand up like a man take credit for your own actions.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is innocent in the whining department on this BBS. If any of you try and act like you are your just kidding yourself. Hawk nobody wants you to quit, and nobody expects you to quit least of all me. The way i see it a lot of bad crap has happened lately. The 27th Sentai quit flying CT if it's not PTO. That just cost us more Axis pilots during ETO's, and now we've had a set up pulled. It wasnt pulled because of me, was it Hawk? Now your going to quit, and Erg your going to say Lowe is harsh?? LOL give me a break! Fact is Erg you and Hawk cross swords on here all the time. Plus you guys do it in the arena. How the hell did this become my fault? LOL
Give me a break! Yeah I was pissed because the setup got pulled, personally I myself don't want PTO's I want ETO's, but I do want 880FAA, VF-27, and the 27th Sentai to have a chance to fly their planes. The only thing I really don't want in here is NO ICONS, but I'll live with that if I have too.
Hawk if your going to quit, thats your decision. You dug the hole, you can climb out or pull the dirt over your head, it's up to you.
Yeah I quit the 27th Sentai because all the whining was driving me nuts. It wasnt worth you quiting AH then, why now?
The 325th flew Japanese last week, and never heard whining or cussing on voice until in icon range of I wonder who??
Sheesh you two, this is like arresting the bank owner, and patting the bank robber on the back. What a bunch of crap.HAHAHA

Yes hawk, You should stay, as mentioned above we all do a lot of whining, me included, it is as much a part of life as it is a part of the game, sometimes it is hard to not take any of this personaly but we all must try and avoid that pitfall and see the bigger issue which realy has noting to do with us personaly.
-
Stay Hawk. Chill out, but stay.
I'm sure there was more behind Lowe and Jester quitting the 27th than your whining over the squad channel. Everybody needs a turn flying Allied at some point, and it was just their time to move on. Flying Axis in general, and Japanese in particular, can often seem an exercise in futility.
Nobody wants to see you hang it up, bro.
BTW, 27th Sentai has pulled out of non-PTO CT setups for a couple of reasons: first, we really enjoy the Japanese planes and felt like we just weren't getting enough stick time in them to stay in top form, and second, flying in the MA may help us gain some new members who might be willing to come and give the CT a try with us. It was definitely not a vote against the CT - we can still be seen there on non-squad nights.

Hawk you don’t strike me and the kind of player who would hang his hat on the comments of one person. I would venture a lot more is going on here in this sim and real life. I have a couple of suggestions that you might consider. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who has been in the hot seat many a time and has been called everything you can image by players.
1 – Don’t read the BB or at least rarely. Let squadies point out threads you might want to read or respond to.
2 – Be quick with the squelch of players who are jerks. I log into the CT sometimes and the first thing I do is view the roster. The second thing I do is squelch.
3 – Don’t close your account, take a break.

You know what, P6, I actually understand how you feel. Some years ago, as a result of almost incomprehensible stupidity on my part, I managed to screw up an entire Air Warrior event, single-handedly. One of the more popular flier's fathers had died, and, because he had been a veteran, the arena was holding a memorial fly-by - the first ever, if I'm right. I logged on into the middle of it, paying no attention to the "Truce" warnings (wonder what that's all about?), and shot down six of the participants in a row, including the son of the deceased.
When I figured out what had happened, I wanted to crawl under my computer and die. I really felt sick, physically sick. I stayed away from AW for six weeks before I crept back. I imagine that I'm still remembered as the guy who porked the fly-by.
You haven't even come close to that, pal. You are a simple disruptor-in-training by comparison. So if I could come back, I really don't see how you can lie in a dark corner, gnawing at the carpet while the rest of us wonder where the heck you've gone.

hey bud, (lowe)
wasnt meant to be a finger pointer and I am certainly not blaming it on your quote. My total frustrations of the game are my resons for leaving, not you or any other "person". If I was indeed the reason the 27th "split up" as you so stated, then that just adds to my frustraion.
I am not frustrated because I dont get kills or even get killed, in general. I think my score should shed light on that...and are credited to "lone wolfing it".
51 kills
22 assists
7 deaths
All in the A6M2 as "Fighter"
Its the "game " itself for my reason(s) for leaving.
WBs HA was the same way, I was told the CT in AH was different, its not!
Later bud!!

Adios P6EHawk

Hawk.
Don't do it! Don't you quit, it is different, I'm telling you it is.
No matter how much any of us get mad, no matter how stupid, you, ME, or any of us act. There is NO NEED TO QUIT!
My over reaction to the setup change is no better or worse than your reaction to your reasons for the post. It s a damn silly game, and for some reason we all put way too much importance on it, and it's every little detail. However every person in this game should be respected, and every person that leaves this game, leaves a hole. Nobodys above bad days, and bad post. Nobody.
You don't need to quit because you feel you've done something wrong. The only reason to quit is because you just hate it, and think it's not worth your time or your money. Other than that, you should stay. We've known each other for years, and I've always considered you a friend, and at times I've failed to treat you as such. For that I apologize. I still carry a lot of VF-27 loyalty, and 880FAA have never been anything but kind and helpful to me. So when I saw the post and the arena change, I lost my temper.
I can't make you stay, but I truley hope you do. Besides your a dedicated Japanese pilot, and anybody with the paitence to do that deserves a good wild bellybutton whine once in a while.:)
Hawk quiting won't make the CT a better place, staying and shooting down VF-27 during PTO's will. Don't look at what you wrote, or how mad you got. Look at what you've been doing. Every PTO you square off against two of the best squads you'll ever see in 880, and VF-27. The last month you've done it without a squad. Don't quit Hawk, you'll only miss it. Look your a pilot in real life I'm not, all I ever did was be a crew chief and get an occasional ride. Stay, Help the 27th Sentai, and the 325th fight these two squads during PTO's. Your not going to find better opponants, or better allies. I e-mailed you this evening, I offered you a place in the 325th. I hope you'll consider taking me up on it.
What could be better during PTO's you get to shoot at Blue airplanes, during ETO's you get to fly some cool allied stuff.
Don't feel bad, don't feel guilty, grab a checkered 325th scarf jump on and lets go have some damn fun!:)

Sorry to see you go Hawk, liked flying with you. Think you are overreacting a bit. I have also been shot down right and left in the Jap planes - then again we have torn them a new one before. It is your money though - you have to do what you think is best.
I will be the first to agree the Japanese side is getting the short end and even though we are now an Allied squad set in the MTO I will be right up there calling for better Japanese planes. I don't get anything out of "Sealclubbing" - I want some competition when I get into a fight.
I thought this set-up was very fair and should have been kept. WAY TOO MUCH "Carping" in here - the CT'ers just need to put up a scenario and leave it as is. CM guys - just set them up - we will support you.
-
Thanks for that story, Oldman. What an unfortunate thing to do. Talk about learning the hard way! Man.
-
Once again I say, DO NOT QUIT THE CT, i get mad you get mad we all get mad, lets all just quit pissin and moanin about the plane set and have fun, does it really matter if you get shot down or not. The fact of the matter is we all like to fly the ct, so lets all shut the fck up and fly what they give us, do your best all it can do is make you a better pilot.
Oh ya, I want to apologize for my little outburst earlier, but i get to fly the F6 so rarely, I dont really give a watermelon what my opponent flies just give us the Hellcat!
-
Gee,
Why doesn't Shane quit?
Then we could all chime in together...
"Shane come back!"
"Shane come back!"
"Shane come back!"

DUDE! Hawk, you're one of the best sticks in this game...! And I do not believe for one second that you were the cause of any falling out in the 27th... From the tone of the original letters we got on notification, I had thought it was me and my big fat yap that did it... (still do think so too, but no-one will admit it to me) :o Anyway, the following is my views on ME and the NET in total, with HTC in particular....
I'm not far behind you, Bro... CT is where my heart is for flying, but HTC just hasn't the smarts, or so it seems, to put together a HISTORICALLY accurate planeset in there. Nor does it seem likely that they ever will, and that is a damned crying shame, imo. :(
Aces High has the best flight fidelity modeling bar none! Yeah they could work on the damage models for some of the weapons and planes, but overall, AH is the cats bellybutton of flight sims. It effing ROCKS for me on those rare occaissions of historical matches..! ;) But those are far and few between.
Maybe if they (HTC) would start releasing more planes, or variants at least... Well, maybe things'd be better still and maybe not. My crystal ball is at Hangtimes house, and he hasn't told me what's what?
So I might just as well cancel the internet completely. No sense keeping the line active if all it's going to do is frustrate me more. Emails I can get at work... Downloads and net searches too, then cut them to disk for my home use. Hell, might just buy me a X-box or PS2 and start doing some fun gaming where I can actually beyatch slap my opponent when they piss me off.
But Hawk... I really wish you would rethink your canceling the account... I been there far too many times, Bro. It sucks when you come back after a while.
What ever way you go, God bless, and keep you and yours safe.

Oh my god Oldman, that's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time! Thanks for sharing it with us, I think most folks would never admit to doing something like that.
