ok what do i do once someone in lets say a spit latches onto my arse to stop them from killing me? i try and sometimes i evade them but then i cant shoot them up and they just relatch what do i do?

what plane are you flying? If he has Tons of E just scissor for a bit
then try for a snap on his butt as he passes ya
YOu can also jink in random ways to throw his gun solution off too.

Generally if a Spit gets saddled up on you and you're both at about the same speed, you're in trouble no matter what plane you're flying. Not many planes can out-turn a Spit IX and especially a Spit V, although you might try if you're in a Zero or a N1K2. If you're in an El Gay... I mean LA-7, you could just push over into a very gentle dive and accelerate the hell away from him. If you're in a poor low-speed turner like a 190 or a Pony and you aren't on the deck, put on speed by spiraling downward, losing alt until you're at a speed where you can turn well. Then try pulling a high-g turn as he approaches, then quickly roll and reverse directions in the hopes that he couldn't track you while blacked out. Still, if the Spit ever got under D500 of your six for a decent shot, consider yourself lucky to have gotten away.

A good spit pilot on ur butt with co E will turn u into a criss/cross toast pretty fast.

Yeah, trying to scissor a spit is a bad idea unless he's barrelling at you with loads of E.

With a Hurricane MkIIC, you'll be almost always the winner if you can manage a good rolling scissors. Simple criss-cross allows for too much shooting opportunities to a plane armed with Hispanos, but in a Hurricane. going in spirals will negate many shooting opportunites and make the Spit overshoot as you are capable of turning better and flying slower.
Sucker him into a few barrel rolls or rolling scissors. I wouldn't worry about anyone who decides to latch on a plane like a Hurri or a Zero in a Spitfire, unless he's one heck of a pilot.

errr whats a rolling scissors (or non rolling)
been playing for about 9 months i know lots of the evasive manouvers i just dont know there proper names (i had to find out hwat a split s was from watching the training film in red baron)

What about a hammerhead? As long as you've got an appreciable distance between you and you're in a superior climbing plane, this should work. It is dangerous, but effective.
I've been trying out the Hammerhead quite a bit lately with varrying success. I usually fly 205s or 190s so I use it when a superior turner saddles up on me. I find the only time it fails is if they're already too close or I misjudge their E and they manage to filet me as I'm stalling. I also will introduce a mild roll with a little elevator or rudder thrown in to keep myself from being an easy target before the bogey stalls out.

If you know what a dna double helix strand looks like then substitute planes for the sugar part of the dna and that's what a rolling scissors looks like. It's basically two planes barrel rolling around a shared axis while at the same time scissoring. Don't ask why it's called a barrel roll or scissors when neither a barrel or a scissors is actually involved, that's another hot topic.

Actually, both are involved.
The definition of scissors in air combat does not necessarily have to follow a two-dimensional plane.
In basic concept, it is a maneuver that consecutively changes flight path in order to overshoot the enemy - any ACM concept involved with this type of maneuver will be considered as 'scissors'. Therefore, scissors can be done in all sorts of situations - diving, spiraling, turning, climbing, simply moving up and down, in 2D, in 3D and etc etc.
