Hi, I'm following Kawessa's excellent bombing lesson.
When looking through the bombsight, instead of saying "select U for Calibration", the text in my bombsight says "select none for calibration".
I expect I must change some setting to change it to a 'u'. while unable to do this, I cannot figure out what to do.
Q: How do I change the setting so i can select 'u' to calibrate?
As always, one of you will have the answer!
Thanks - really looking forward to pulverising an airfield.

Setup->key (or stick) mapping, you need to set the keys for calibration. (Not really sure what they're callled, but i think they're in the global section)

Thans Innominate - yeah, I tried 'Global Keys' in Stick Mapping, checked down the list, and calibration was not there. There was 'check 6', etc, also 'stick set 1' and 'B1 B2' etc. all a bit confusing to me I'm afraid.

DrLector try under "flight" keys
Basicly setting a key isn't that hard.
Email me if you still having troubles, can walk you through it.

Bombing training is going well thanks to Ghosth and Innominate, but I have hit another wall.
Sometimes, when I think the aircraft is stabilised and speed is constant, I hit 'u' to calibrate, the yellow instructions appear, but I am unable to move the bombsight. I find instead that my stick is still controlling the aircraft flying controls. I have selected 'autopilot on' if that makes any difference.
Is it that I have not allowed sufficient time for constant speed?
Or am I doing something else incorrect?

hitting U(assuming thats what you have it set to, it is the default key) toggles calibration mode, if the joystick is controlling the planes movement, then you'll need to hit u again.
er, if you're getting the instructions, and the stick turns the plane, rather than moves the bombsight, then something very weird is happening.
