Okay…it has been a year since I joined.

I have now paid about $180 to HTC for the priviledge of flying during that time (excluding any funds related to the Con etc.).  This translates to hundreds of hours of entertainment, quite possibly the best value for my money….ever.

Just the other day I spent over $200 on a dinner…one measly dinner.

So,to those of you I have shot down over the past year….thanks for staying still long enough..

To those that shot me down, and boy there are a lot of you….

Fall of 1999.

I think Beta started in late Sept. 99.

I remember seeing the download link when I was at work. I got home about 2200 (CT). At approx. 2230 MarkAT shot down my P-51. ;)

I remember sept '99 too, but why is my 1.00 patch dated 1-27-2000? :confused: IIRC the first, non-beta patch was 1.00, correct? Anyhow, as my memory is like a giant gruyere cheese, I don't give it much credit...

On the subject of Beta's, I started in Sept/Oct 99 and my 1st download was V 0.36 which I think was just after the Beta went public.

late Jan to early Feb 2000 ... somewhere around there (started playing AH just a few weeks before it went pay-to-play);  I had just bought a 500 MHz box (in early Jan 2000) so went looking for some games to play on it.

when I break it out by the hour, AH's $15 a month is the best entertainment value I have.
 It was at $30 a month, at $15 its a steal.
