Title: Waaaaahhh!!!
Post by: Betown on November 19, 2002, 11:21:55 AM
I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to insert Kweassa's typhoon texture into aces high :(

Could somebody please explain it to me? In dead simple terms because I am not too smart :)

Please Help!

BT

P.S. I do have terrain editor and have set up a texsrc folder with the two images in it.

two things you have to do:

1) download Terain Editor
2) ask Kweassa

1. If you don't already have a terrain set up, Pokie made one that fulfills all the requirements. http://www.accesswave.ca/~tscott/AH-stuff/AH-Editor&Stuff/Skins/MakeSkin.exe

2. Create a 'makeskin' folder in the terrain folder of te editor and extract the makeskin files into it.

3. Stick the Tiffie skin in the Texsrc folder.

4.Open the TE, open makeskin terrain. build the terrain.

5. Copy the new makeskin.res file that will be sitting in the AHeditor/terrains folder to Aceshigh/terrains

6. Open up AH offline. Load up the makeskin terrain.

7. Fly you new Tiffie  :)

Okey...
I did all that you said. I opened up the makeskin.res terrain in Aces High and when i came to fly my Tiffy it was still the original terrain.

I don't see anywhere in your explanation as to exactly how I put the typhoon texture into the terrain.

Or am I totaly going barmy...

Thanx for your quick reply though.

Where are you puting the tiffie textures? They need to be in aheditor/terrains/makeskin/texsrc

This would be the most obvious solution given what you said. You'll need to build the terrain and move it into your Aces High terrains folder afterwards remember.

BTW, I need your email. I've got some files for ya. Too big to post here.
