Last night Bish were down to two bases V64 and A6. Knights upped somewhere between 50 and 75 goons. We mass dropped on v64. It was literally 500 to 700 troops in the air. Bishops were trying to shoot planes and troops. There were gvs near the hanger. Tracers were flying everywhere. We were laughing our prettythanges off. It was a spectacular site. Hopefully someone will post a picture.

you also gagged the server. wtg.

wtg :) Those massive goons missions are fun, though normally server falls in coma after them for next 5 minutes after the drop.
FYI they are not new. First one was made by Ripsnort (I think) 2 years ago. Initially idea were to take field without deacking it, because acks were not able to shot down all of the falling troops.
-
So thats how 150 came to be in the CT. I was wondering!
-
Wow, if you had more than 38 goons airborne, you beat the old record! Congrats!
-
Incidently, I believe Sabre was the first to do this in AH. (Memory is fading, but it wasn't my idea)
And...we usually do this (knights) on special days, like June 6th, Veterans day, Memorial day.
-
Now if only the server could gag Shane... ;)

So the cynic in me sees a DOS attack waiting to happen. Down to two or three fields with reset impending, a side decides to up a bunch of goons, drop troops, and crash server - thus denying the reset.
Knights would never do this, of course, we're much too honorable.
It would probably have the effect of crashing the BBS server as well, given the flamefest that would erupt.
-
lmfao..I cant beleive we got all the Knigths to well a large portion of them to even up at the same field..let alont he same plane!!!
So dont worry ..cold day in hell when this happens again...lolololo

:) It is easier for me, I do them when I am drunk. And so I make them quite regularly :)
The biggest was with around 40 goons, but seems nits got more this time. We slowed server badly several time, but never crashed it.
HT shall look at it this problem, because even one person can create such a crash, do not want to say how, but if there is a gap, earlier or later it will be exploited.

Heh, my film won't even open - says it's an invalid or old format. But anyway, it was quite a sight. I was in one of the m3's runnin over troops and pushin goons around. Never had so much fun losin a reset. :)
