Actually the Democrats dont want to win, they are content to lose the elections as long as they get to delude themselves about Bush's stupidity... Thats why Terry McAuliffe was so happy after the last election, he wasnt faking anything or spinning away the unprecedented loss - he genuinely still thought Bush was a moron and thus all was good in donkey land. :D

I want Bush's kids to follow the same laws my kids do. If they are arrested, they should face the same consequences, no doubt about it.
All I'm saying is it is really something to hate someone so badly you'd reach through their kids to get to them.

To "hate" is to give the object or person "hated" control over your emotions to that person.

On a personal note:
I never fall in love with any politician, and I will never let any politian (or party) to control/spoil my life. I pay taxes because I have to, but don't let it get to me. It's like getting robbed once a year, but heck, life goes on. Won;t lose my sleep over it.

My bad for supposing you would just anti up and say your kids are wonderful well adjusted members of society and that your a hell of a good dad.
Back to the topic: GeeDubya appears to suffer the same failures as most of us regular types do in life, kids included. I guess there is some validity knowing the silver spoon argument doesnt always measure up to the implied benifits gained including "getting off the hook". My observations of the criminal justice system seem to suggest those two young women received average punishment considering the nature of their law breaking. If anything, their sentances for the underage purchasing seemed to be a bit on the harsh side but so much the better.

So.....not telling specifics about my 10 year old daughter is a "splendid diversion"?
I don't know how she will turn out in the long run, but I do know everyday I tell her I love her, and attempt to develop a "cause and effect" frame of thinking in regards to choices she makes.
I DON"T abuse booze or dope and set a piss poor parental example like the chimp in the white house did during their formative years.
Speaking of "splendid diversions", the responses so far from the "conservatives" on this board are a prime example.
My art was more directed at chimpy than at them, since you can't refute the truth about him your using "Maude Flanders" lines while wringing your hands.....

You appear to reserve your hate for politicians of one particular political bent... finding one type worthy of hate and another not seems really weird considering the entire breed..

Theres no reason to be upset with Clinton anymore....in the grand scheme of things he is a non-entity....just like Gore.
Chimpy on the other hand is a wife beater, liar, alcoholic, drug addict, deserter....he is also the president RIGHT NOW...a *real* poster boy of virtue, need I go on?
I don't hate him, I just despise him.
The crap about the secret service I won't lose any sleep over.....I never have and will never make any threats towards him, since the only gun I own is a Crossman .177 caliber pellet gun I'm not much of a threat to his personal well being....only to some extent his political well being.
Dissent and political satire has been around since this country was founded and is one of the things that makes our political system unique, as outspoken as you are on a variety of topics are you for the suppression of dissent?
I'm secure in one thing, when my daughter does make mistakes it won't be because I didn't try to prepare her to deal with life....unlike the sack of toejam sitting in the White House....who obviously failed that test.

Well kieran, I distinctly remember more an a few posts about Chelsea Clintons lack of good looks (among other things). However, I agree that whatever they (they kids) do as grown up adults should not be blamed on their parents.
Just saying that weaz isn't the first to make fun of a Presidents offspring.
And the hatred many on this board has for Clinton is up to par with the loathing Weaz feels for Bush. Just saying that some of the same people who poured liberally (oh funny word) out of the bottle of hatred on Clinton now object when Weaz does the same but on Bush. So perhaps those individuals should not be so quick to call weaz an angry unhappy man; they'd label themselves the very same since they in the past have done exactly what he is doing.
I don't even wanna get involved in this stupid reps vs dems debate. It is pertinent, however, to point out double standards. And I do that on dems as well as reps; political affiliation means jack toejame to me.
I'm just asking people in general, I guess, to consider their prior actions of similar nature before passing judgement on others. Hell, this post isn't even about weaz, Bush, Clinton, reps or dems. it's just about thinking before typing.
I love you yanks for your forcefulness, your energetic singleminded drive towards a goal. I like the fact that you're quick on the trigger and aren't shy about taking action. But, perhaps, sometimes it might be better to take aim and fire rather than shoot from the hip :).

To my recollection I never attacked Clinton through Chelsea, if that's what you mean. She's not pretty, but she has nothing to do with Clinton himself.
What MG and Weazel have been doing the last few days goes far beyond an offhand comment, surely you can see that.
To be fair to Weazel, though, I disliked Clinton about as much as he does Bush, so I can understand his feelings believe it or not. The main difference in our viewpoints is I don't see all the criminal wrongdoing Bush is supposedly into, Weazel didn't often speak out against Clinton's wrongs (if ever), so I assume he didn't see any real problem there. Different set of values I suppose, not saying whose is right or wrong, probably somewhere in the middle.
Guess I'm just bothered by forcing the son to pay for the sins of the father.

Oh... it's no secret I didn't/don't like WJC. I don't like Gore or Hillary either. Gimme any other Dem, even Daschle, before the aforementioned trio.
Examine what I have spoken of here. I wouldn't dream of telling Weazel to like Bush. I think I've been pretty clear.
