Title: Heisman...
Post by: Nifty on November 25, 2002, 01:05:28 PM
is a crock, and we all know it.  Dorsey or McGahee will win, and neither truly deserve to.

Regardless, if I had the chance to vote on the Heisman ballot, my top 5 would be thus, and in order.
1. Brad Banks, QB, Iowa.
2. Larry Johnson, RB, Penn State.
3. Carson Palmer, QB, USC.
4. Chris Brown, RB, Colorado.
5. Byron Leftwich, QB, Marshall.

If Leftwich hadn't been hurt and continued to play, he'd be my #1 or #2.

Larry Johnson would have my vote, that guy is a TRUCK looking for an accident to happen.

Brad Banks has been an absolute monster this year.  He should definitely be at the top of the list.  But, as quirky as the voting is, he doesn't have a chance.

Here is my list. I would have to say that the guy from Penn State is my top player. But what do I know since Beano Cook says he is not that good. :p

1. Larry Johnson, RB, Penn State.
2. Brad Banks, QB, Iowa.
3. Carson Palmer, QB, USC.
4. Chris Brown, RB, Colorado.
5. Byron Leftwich, QB, Marshall.

I also think that they should not limit the candidates to only QB's, RB's and WR's like they have recently. The only reasonOrlando Pace was in the hunt for the trophy was the media and Woodson only played just enough offense to even be considered. Honestly I don't think you can find the MVP of college football without looking at all the positions on the teams and how they contribute to the team winning or loosing their games.
