And if anyone would like to list the additions with each release I'm sure we'll see HTC is packing more and more into each new version......

Plus:

1) More complex changes take longer to implement
2) As software becomes more complex it is usually takes longer to modify.

its not a complaint thread just interesting info

i left out the patches wich always come after the realeses to make the list more concise

and hitech buying an airplane is a great thing for this sim

you will see more fm tweaks from this alone for sure

I find it interesting too.

I have been expecting this release to take much longer than most because I think a lot of time was spent working on the CTD bugs that plagued the last release.

First time I think someone has mentioned the AIM since I've been reading these threads. Just an observation :)

To err is human, to forgive is not in the FAR's.

Except for FAR 91 subpart b, which limits my consecutive hours on duty! That part is pretty forgiving.

LOL HT, I see you had an instructor from the same school as mine.

The FARs let you do just about ANYTHING with an airplane, with the caveat that if you screw up, it's your fault no matter what.

For example, other than some rules about obstacle clearance and minimum heights above populated areas, you can fly as low as you want.  However, a paragraph later is a catch-all "rule" stating that the pilot MUST fly high enough to safely recover his aircraft should anything happen.

Read that from the perspective of a lawyer, and it means that no matter how high you are, if you run out of altitude for ANY reason (lightning hits your plane and the wing falls, off, etc), it's the fault of the pilot in command.

Flying is pretty neat.  Just don't screw up :)

Seems it gonna be the longest version in production. I just hope that bulk of mission arena is coded, and 1.12 will be out soon after 1.11. I really waiting for MsA badly, and just hope 1.12 is not another 5 months.

I really will prefer more often releases with less features in them, though I know that every new release is usually additional traffic and bugs and etc., but it is something new at least.

Didn't Hitech acquire a new companion of the ovine persuasion at the last con ?

Fariz will get I-16, Yak-1, Yak-3, Yak-7, Pe-2, Tu-2, LaGG-3, Il-10, and
I will get Ki-43, Ki-44, Ki-45, Ki-84, Ki-100, J2M3, N1K1, H8K2, G4M2 in next version.

But they require the time for 2 years to do it.

All our 24 planes at F.I.T. are equiped with dual GNS 430. They are very easy to use, easy to read. This will spoil and ruin your VFR x-country skills and SA. Pretty cool when linked to the autopilot. Tempting to fly those 5h xcountry with a timer ... rrzzzrrzzrrzzzz ... beepbeep beepbeep ... ... hummm ... check point.

But nice choice.:D

First I was hoping for it by 1 Nov, then by Thanksgiving.

Now I would be satisfied with just more detailed info about what's in it and some more screenshots of new planes for us to anticipate and discuss.   Or even the exciting news about what's coming in 1.12.

The larger community and growing code base has got to start taking its toll on HTC's productivity at some point.   I wonder if we've seen the end of short development cycles.    Maybe what happens to MMOL flight sims as they age is an inescapable law of Nature?

Mitsu, thanks, but they can't make so many models at once. We shall find some compromise? For example:

Fariz gets:  I-16, Yak-1, Yak-3, Yak-7,

Mitsu gets: Pe-2, Tu-2, LaGG-3, Il-10

Seems fair :)
