what are these symbols in front of some old posts supposed to mean???

and who put them there?

and what others can you put there?

no .. this is the first board i ever used.... never saw a reason to use one. (+ never anything i was this into and used on internet)

There is an option(which is disabled now) to give your threads an "icon" from a pre-defined list.

Another option turned off here is to have an icon below your name on the left hand side.  Like your squad shield. I took a picture posted off this board and use it below my name at the WBIII boards...


It's kinda fitting ;)
