I had to drive up to the great Central Valley of California Yesterday for business. I visited another manufacturer, and much to my surprise the following were right across the Freeway....

Not sure about this one, they weren't open yet, so all pics are from outside the fence. B-12?
-
no idea what this is either..
-
and just so you know, most of "Kalifornia" looks like this and not like Baywatch. (Picture Kansas placed between San Fransisco and LA)
-
One more,
I said Howdy to Mr. Drucker for ya'll.
-
Castle AFB.
The big camo delta is the Vulcan.
-
ty Funked.
Looks like a nice museum, wish I could have hung around longer. Don't see many B-24's these days. Do you know what the old 2 engine bomber is?
-
I believe the two engine bomber is a B-18. Nice pics Tahgut.
-
Nope, not a B18, looks similiar though...
-
It is a B-18, just different nose configuration from Rip's pic.
-
ah, thks Funked. We had one down here at McChord, during an airshow, about 80% restored. Not sure if it was their own or a traveler. It was not in flyable condition.
-
Thanks guys.
You live near there funked?
-
That B-18 looks like it popped out of Walt Disney cartoon.
-
anyone know this one?
-
or this one?
-
one more ??????, the tail looks a lot like an A-26 or a Havoc though... weird huh?
-
The last three, from top to bottom (I believe)
1. Lockheed Ventura: http://www.military.cz/usa/air/war/bomber/b34/b34_en.htm
2. Martin (English Electric) B-57 Canberra
3. Don't know. Looks Soviet though.
-
Last two are a CF-100 and a B-45.
-
Funked, while it looks like you're prolly right on the CF-100 (although it kinda looks like a Canberra) the B-45 only had two engines in the photos I found:
-
It is definately a Avro CF-100 (Canuck)...yes it is actually called the Canuck. My father used to work on them. :)
That's the plane the Canadian government had Avro work on instead of the the first commerical jet plane (the Jetliner).
Yep, between the Avro Jetliner and Arrow, Canada could have had the largest aircraft manufacturing industry in the world. Ah well.
-
Dune, look closer. It's a Tornado.
-
Heres a pic I found Dune.
-
We had one of those B-45s land at Mt. Home AFB in the late 80's. Watching it lumber in was pretty damn humorous.
