I was working fine until I viewed, then deleted all the films I had on file. Now I play for maximum of 30 min. before the dreaded CTD! I tried: reloading AH, reloaded and updated Windows 98, loaded latest DirectX, loaded latest drivers for video and sound cards, nothing else runs except explorer and systray while playing. I will reformat my hard drive only as a last resort. Any ideas?

Yikes! at your problem, and at still using a voodoo! anyhooo, what method did you use to delete your film files (i.e., wildcard search then delelet all?)? Did you just select the film files? Seems that just deleting film files would not cause ctd's. If you got another file as well, that could be a prob. Your files are not, by chance, in your recycle bin?
since your system runs before ctd, you most likely do not have a file related problem, just one of those coincidents. Add any new software lately? Delete anything else lateley? Change any system settings? How long since defrag? how full is the hard drive?

are the CTD's consistently after 30 minutes use? do you only CTD in AH--are you having any probs with other applications that might provide more clues ?
What's the CPU temp when you CTD?

Yes, consistantly CTD after 30 min. max. time and only on AH. Will check CPU temps, but think that is okay.;)
