Those are'nt from AH.

That kind of detail in the plane and clouds would kill frame rates.

Look at the number of polygons used in the nacelle ovals. That would also kill FR.

You are not worthy of B-29's and Me-163's . What we really need is 'side balancing' and cockpit graphics.

Yea, now that's important!

I really would love to have  the B-29... someday in Aces High...
But the keyword is "Someday"... something to dream about...
Right now about the only arena that it could even be used in would be the Pizza Map.   Everything else is too small.

Otto stated.... What we really need is 'side balancing' and cockpit graphics.

I agree 100% on the cockpit graphics work, as a higher priority...

But look at those B-29's... ain't they Beautiful :)

Be ineteresting to see HOW they add it.  According my dad the engines overheated on takeoff (had to keep the cowl flaps closed) so they'd get to 100' or so and just fly straight and level over the ocean to cool the engines down before climbing out.

Given the kind of terrain we have (where all the airfileds seem to be built in craters) that could make life interesting.

They never saw service in Europe; wonder how they would have handled the overheating problem comming out of England.  Probably have to cut the bomb load significantly.

Agreed Puck...

I would imagine the B-29's would require a large Pacific arena.
I am sure they would have a horrendously slow climb rate...
Using the B-29 in Europe would probably have not been feasible.

Did you know that the U.S. lost more B-29's to operational malfunctions than they did to enemy fire ?
:(

Again, according to my dad the crews hated 'em.  He served on B24s, so there's always a chance there's a bit of rivalry there.

I have his flight record; he has just over 4 hours in B29s.  The rest is in various flavors of B24.

Yeah, these will be great for carpet-bomming gvz at 1000'.

B-29 or no, the bommers are sorta broke right now.

That panel appears to belong to the FS2k2 B-29 Enola Gay in CFS2.

Do you play online?
