Title: X45 help
Post by: john hargrave on November 30, 2002, 09:27:49 PM
Just picked up my X45 last week and can not get any views programed in other than the basic 8 way front back left right ect ..
i can get no up views at all on any of the hats in any of the modes. i dont know if this stick is looped or im brain dead. Im running WinXP and the latest saitek drivers that i down loaded on 10/24. Could any one let me have a copy of their basic hat programing? this is the only problem in having, all the other key presses have programed in fine.
   thanks
     John

Just bind your second hat to directX buttons, then program the views under setup->stick mapping in AH.

I would recomend that you use the regular hat as such (a hat switch) and bind and UP modifyer (ie: keypad 5) to another key you can easily press at the same time (pinkey switch in my case)....I also have the down programmed in the AUX switch position 3 (so it stays their while in bombadier position)

I have the oval hat when pulled up to give you the straight up view. Used in conjuction with the regular hat gives you the 45 deg up view

my rotories work fine in XP, I've even reprogrammed one of them for banded key control (and the rudder for banded key functions as I have pedals).
