Title: TM w/win2k ?
Post by: Wlfgng on December 03, 2002, 12:42:37 PM
was wondering if anyone is using the old (mine) TM controller with throttle and elite pedals.

Driver wise all I see on the website is drivers for win98  ;(

don't tell me I need to go buy new controllers now.. sigh

Damn...if it were FLCS/F22 & TQS, you could upgrade.

I was planning on this kick bellybutton machine that about maxed out my spending money.. doubt I can do that AND buy new controllers...and damned if I could fly with a twisty stick!

I think your stick and rudder will work fine using standard joystick drivers. But W2K will not recognize hat switch (and may be some extra buttons). And TM have no plans to make W2K drivers to get FLCS-type hat working.

No need for TM to get an FLCS or F22 working in Win2k or XP.  Just get the stickworks upgrade.  http://www.stickworks.com

Title: TM Controllers

Wlfgng,

For what its worth, I am using the pedals and the joystick from that TM package.   The throttle would (or I could not get it to) work with Win XP home.  I have combined it with a saitek x45 throttle (more buttons).   The TM stuff is hooked to the serial (?) port and the throttle to the USB.   With AH allowing you to pick your controllers it works fine for me.   The x45 stick is too "loose" feeling to me and the location of the hat switches dont suit me so I dont use it.

All that dweebry being said,  I have found the TM Stick and the rudders from the package work fine with XP.  How this would relate to Win2k Im not sure.
