I don't care about rank or score or free prizes or shootouts.  The latest News forum post will have no effect on how I play AH or how much I enjoy it.
But thanks anyways for this new award system because it has inspired some of the most hilarious whining and griping in UBB history.

I agree.  Although I understand how people that spend 20+ hours a week flying AH would become passionate about it.

I had to bail without a kill on my first fighter mission of the tour, so I gave up on winning anything.  Seriously, for the amount of time and effort to maybe win a few bucks...I'd rather fly organized missions and have fun. Let me repeat that:  have fun.  If you win some money, great.  Drinks are on you!

AN EVIL THOUGHT

If you really want to excite the masses and cause massive gaming with distorted scores here's the way to set up the contest:  The top 300 players names are put into a hat and one is picked, receiving say $1,000.

AN EFFECT PERKS HAVE ON GAME PLAY

I noticed a few tours ago that Spit Is and Ostwinds seem to destroy each other more often than one would expect.  The obvious answer is that if the Spit I can kill the Osty, even in death it will get a pilot more perks than almost any single kill.

I gotta believe that HTC houses some of the greatest trolls to ever grace the internet.  This one was far and away tops!!  It even beats their LW "bias" for short term affect.  Still to be determined if it beats it in the long-term though

I also understand that those people are at least partially insane and their rantings should not be taken seriously.  :)
