How about somewhere, perhaps at HQ - a target to kill that represents the flashing base and the "Base Is Under Attack" (a)warning ability?
(a) (or the "Scramble Scramble Enemy Inbound" if you have the sound add-on not to make this a kill Yankee thread)?
