Title: Hearts of Iron
Post by: LoneStarBuckeye on December 06, 2002, 08:42:31 AM
I'm sure there are some strategy buffs here.  Has anyone tried this?  Is it any good?  How does it compare to EU or EU2?

Thanks.

I have it.

It is simply awesome. If you are looking for a ww2 grand strategy simulation, this is the one to get. It covers 1936-1948, and you can pretty much explore any historical or non-historical avenue. If you want to play the game as Germany or Afghanistan, doest matter, every country in the world is playable.

It is much much better than EU2. Especially when it comes to the combat system.

One word of warning though, right now the game is at patch 1.01, with patch 1.02 to arrive before Christmas. Right now there are some annoying bugs, nothing that kills the game, not any CTD monsters, but just annoying bugs. For example, the AI neads some tweaking.

Buy it, you will not regret it.

Thanks Hortlund.  I took a gander at the HoI forums and noticed "Hortlund."  Is that you?

Thanks again - JNOV
