Midi tower PCI slots half full

Looks OK to me. Your 14 C rise from MB to cpu is pretty normal and anything under 50 c is no problem. Mine gets as high as 55 C in the summer under heavy load and I am not worried bout it.

Those temperatures are fine

The reason i ask is that i had a HD crash 2 weeks ago out of nothing.
I got a new case before and thought i might have a worse ventilation so my HD got to hot and failed.

37 C is not bad for a HD. I used to have one that ran over 50 C so I mouted a hardrive heatsink/dual fan unit and put in more case fans.

The Athlon XP (Palamino core) can handle over 90 degrees C. I think it's rated to melt at about 92 or 93. Keep in mind that the temps you see from your motherboard are normally lower than the CPU core temp.
I've had mine running at 83 indicated for a few minutes without crashing. I've never had my CPU under continuous load long enough to hit max temp, but I think it would top out at about 85 degrees. It idles at 70. I have the POS stock cooler, and yes I have a heat problem.
My FSB is at 142MHz, with the default 1700+ multiplier of 11.

hehe, I had a pair of Quantum Fireballs that lived up to their name. They got so damn hot I burnt my hand on one of them. The good news is that even under all that heat they're still spinning just fine. They're the most reliable HDDs I've ever had, and when Quantum went down, I hunted down another pair of Quantums for my newer system.
