No shore batteries or field guns for Japs on southern fields, any fields???
That intentional?

No, it wasn't intentional. They should be enabled for all Allied and Japanese bases. I'll see to it as soon as I get home. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hope he got home, 'cause as of 0100 Eastern, only the shore bats were able to be manned at P8

The shore batteries may be the only man-able guns at the ports. I re-enabled them at all bases yesterday afternoon, which enables all available guns (ack and shore battery).

odd.... Was at P8 last night and the only guns available were the big batteries.
Say, is there a way to use those batteries easier so you can hit offshore targets? Something like a rangfinder that is used on bases when shooting from sea? Entering SEA mode doesn't really DO anything for accuracy since you have nothing on the map to 'click' on for range estimation.

best way to get a semi-accurate range is to have a friendly fly over the TG, and when he's over it, click on map on his icon (if it goes out that far).
other than that, it's basically kentucky windage, by guess and by god.

and because of that it's waaaaay cool when you smack a guy.
Also, is it just my impression or are Torpedoes too slow?

not that they're too slow, but rather the TG is a late '44 CV and is running full steam all the time... you'd think the CR wouldn't be able to keep up.
someday we may get an incremental damage model on ships, where hits will eventually slow 'em down or make 'em dead in the water or reduce operational ability...

Thanks guys... :(
Dream on about the incremental damage though... Not likely to happen in the near future here.
