I'm thinking about having a rifle built on a Ruger #1 action.  Caliber would be 6.5x55 Swedish, 24 inch Douglas barrel, Alexander Henry forearm.

I've heard that there is a part called an O-ring (I believe) that can be used to more firmly mate the action and barrel to the forearm, improving accuracy.  Does anyone know about this or own a Ruger #1 that has been so modified?  Does it really work?  What is the cost of the modification?
