Weeeellllll.... I finally had to take apart my FLCS to work on the pots. In researching how to do this, I came across some very exciting sites on full motion flight sims. I've decided to begin research on this with an eye to begin construction mid to late 2003. I was curious if anyone else has built this project or anything similar
The Joyrider (http://www.acesim.com/) seems to be the easiest to build. Since I go about 230 I would probably do the larger diameter PVC as shown below.

or the metal fabrication is also very appealing, but it might be trickier to do

There's a lot of far more complicated stuff out there, but the majority of it seems geared to the MS FlightSim. And frankly some of these guys are freakin out of control... check these out.
